With a lot of help by @esmil, the schedule is now running on my @Hackaday #Remoticon.2 badge, with talk start times shifted to CET. It's powered by my @risc_v MicroMod #badgelife
After a little soldering session today I got two badges ready for @hackaday #Remoticon.2 featuring my @risc_v #MicroMod. More details at hackaday.io/project/182027-r… #badgelife
PCBs are in from @oshpark in perfect purple for the @hackaday #Remoticon.2 #badgelife. Files and more details at hackaday.io/project/182027-r… if you want your own
My @hackaday #Remoticon.2 badge will be a @sparkfun #MicroMod carrier board, pushing the µController decision to the absolute last minute. PCB's are in production @oshpark and files are available at hackaday.io/project/182027-r… #badgelife
With @hackaday Remoticon.2 coming up in about a month, it's time to make a badge. Let's each make one, I got a template for you @hackadayio:
hackaday.io/project/182027-r… #badgelife
A not so scientific test of a cheap USB-C connector against an IKEA cable. #badgelife
Not as good as @GregDavill, but really like the GC10 solder paste - very easy to work with. One 0402 tombstone on the first board and a short on the second one, but easy to fix afterwards.
My first attempt at bringing a bit of @risc_v to the @sparkfun #MicroMod ecosystem. This uses a #GigaDevice GD32VF103 microprocessor with 32k RAM, 128k Flash, and a USB bootloader in ROM
I'm using white LEDs and a single 150 ohm series resistor. It's not super bright, but should be good if replicating the dimly lit hackcenter vibe of previous events like #36c3. Hot glue applied @mrtwinkletwink style for better light distribution.
Playing a bit with the @ccc #rc3 design in @oshpark purple. I probably need to use some hot glue @mrtwinkletwink style to get an even backlighting with the side mounted LEDs. #badgelife
I have made a shared projects @oshpark for easy ordering: oshpark.com/shared_projects/… and the @kicad_pcb source files are available at github.com/flummer/rc3-fairy… #badgelife #rc3
The #rc3 PCB's are in from @oshpark, but I forgot to get the parts, so assembly will have to wait until next week. I'm impressed with the silk screen, the ruler shows mm. I used copper to the edge, which is not ideal for normal circuits, but nice for blocking light in #badgelife

Join us today at 1pm ET/10am PT for a live chat with @thomasflummer, the creator of this year's unofficial #Remoticon conference badge! His designs may be colorful or more reserved, but they all share a clean aesthetic and clever details: youtu.be/_rJjr7ryEBY
Next up a bit of #badgelife for the @hackaday #Remoticon - featuring a variant of @TheMakersBox SMD challenge on the front, pin headers for an @adafruit Feather on the back and a lot of prototyping pads. I think this will look great in @oshpark AfterDark oshpark.com/shared_projects/…
All the LEDs are blinking! It's a very nice soldering challenge, designed by @TheMakersBox that I adapted for the front of my unofficial @hackaday #Remoticon badge. Looking forward to take part in the official challenge in a few weeks. #badgelife
The back of the badge has a spot for an @adafruit feather. The pins are intentionally flipped, so that the USB plug is towards the bottom, the LiPo connector on the inside and not least, the bottom with the least amount of parts towards your clothes, minimising scratches.
