No more trial exhibits/evidence will be released publicly in the Matthew Farwell trial. Traditionally, as trials are public, so are most exhibits. The Judge ruled this morning that no more exhibits may be posted online by either party until a verdict is rendered.
The jury heard a fourth day of testimony in the Matthew Farwell trial. The former Stoughton, Massachusetts, police officer is charged with killing 23-year-old Sandra Birchmore and her unborn baby more than five years ago.
The prosecution said Farwell strangled Birchmore and staged it as a suicide. He was charged in 2024. CBS News' Tom Hanson breaks down what happened in court on Friday.
Police and the FBI were back at the so-called "house of horrors" in Philadelphia's Olney neighborhood on Thursday, sifting for human remains in the investigation into suspected serial killer Raymond "R.C." Horsch, who died last year.
Seven cases of missing women are believed to be tied to this house, where Horsch's son, who is now in police custody, also lived.

Sandra Birchmore was exploited for years by former Massachusetts police officer Matthew Farwell, according to Lauren Andrews, the mother of one of Birchmore's closest friends. "It was grooming," Andrews told CBS News.
Prosecutors allege Farwell began sexually abusing Birchmore when he was 27 and she was 15.
Years later, prosecutors allege Farwell strangled Birchmore and staged her death to look like a suicide after she told him she was pregnant and believed he was the father. In a court filing, the defense said DNA testing confirmed Farwell was not the father. He has pleaded not guilty to murder charges.
The murder trial of former Massachusetts police officer Matthew Farwell continues in the case of Sandra Birchmore, a former teen cadet found dead in her Canton apartment in 2021. Farwell is accused of killing Birchmore and her unborn baby and staging her death to look like a suicide. Farwell has plead not guilty to the charges.
CBS News’ Tom Hanson @thomasrhanson spoke with the mother of one of Sandra’s friends, Lauren Andrews, who says Sandra was looking forward to becoming a mother and believes she did not die by suicide.

The USS George Washington, with its approximately 5,000 personnel, fighter jets and munitions, is the backbone of the U.S. military's tactical operation in the Iran war, as well as a primary target of the Tehran regime.
A CBS News crew was taken aboard the aircraft carrier this week to get an exclusive look at its latest mission, supporting the U.S. war against Iran from its position in the Arabian Sea near the critical Strait of Hormuz: "We're here to do the mission however long it takes and wherever that takes us."
