Ever wished you could generate a transcript of your meeting while interpreting to support your work? Here’s one way to do that! If you try it let me know! youtu.be/iBC-mr74iNc @ENM_Interpreter @AimeeKBenavides @TEA_Language – at Washington, DC

🚨🚨🚨 It is now possible to listen to interpretation from browser on Zoom. Not to host, not to interpret, but you can listen! @AimeeKBenavides @ENM_Interpreter @tom_trans

Wow. Highly recommend taking 7 minutes away from watching Congress. The British news media perfectly captured today close-up. May all US media request to re-air this. It’s already packaged, impactful and brings clarity to the day. @ReliableSources

I decided to see if I could figure out why the sound is often so bad on @Webex. Here are the results, most tellingly @~2:00 w/laptop mic. Hypothesis: it's the default audio filtering, which goes haywire with persistent background noise close to the mic. vimeo.com/492612535

Another cool breakthrough! A few days ago we tweeted about how to connect Zoom simul to an analog phone; here's an even more creative way to do it digitally. Now you just need your bridging computer, no phone! tealanguagesolutions.com/par…

Stop the presses: the inimitable @AimeeKBenavides of T.E.A. Language Solutions has figured out how to get Zoom interpretation on a dial-in connection. There are some steps and (cheap!) equipment involved; find out more here: tealanguagesolutions.com/acc…
TEA Zoom teching this week with @timbrebkk @ENM_Interpreter @AimeeKBenavides and @LauraInterprets. All these devices are recording or monitoring; all 40 speakers received mics, mic checks, and Zoom presenting tutorials before the conference. Day one success...and strong sound!

We tried the Zoom custom language feature. It works! @ENM_Interpreter took this priceless shot of his toggle when I assigned him as the Dothraki interpreter 😂

Recently got some colleagues (@AnabellaTidona, @kmr2e, @TANUCC10 and more!) together for a test and confirmed that @zoom_us' new custom language channels work IN ADDITION to the 8 existing channel options, so you can have 13 channels at once. Learn more at tealanguagesolutions.com/cus…
Amazing news! You can have up to five customized languages in Zoom now, and it seems up to 13 (up from eight) total languages. Game changer. EVERYONE needs to update to use this though, including participants. support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/art…

Who uses a condenser mic in online meetings? Have you been told your volume is low compared to people with headsets? I'm noticing this is an issue. If so, could you solve it? LMK if you're using a USB mic or XLR + interface @tom_trans @InterRausch @adrechsel @Goldsmith_Josh

I, for one, would like to 1) hear my partner who is assigned to my same channel (for monitoring) and 2) be able to know what channel participants are on! And it would be $$ if we could use zoomterpreting for phone and browser participants.

Realized the next step up in mixer from @Maker_hart has balance control for each input, so interpreters doing #r1nt could have floor audio just in their left ear and monitor their partner in the right. S/o @vcmarcano who made the most of the little Mixer S selling out.
