At my 1st startup, it took roughly 3 years to close a $1M deal. Now at my third startup, it took 3 months. – at San Francisco, CA

Um. Holy shit. 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼
Rainmaker just produced ~19M gallons of water in Alaska via next-gen cloud seeding over 3 hours of operations.
We are the first company to provably produce precipitation in Alaska. As promised, we’ve linked our white paper and relevant data.
In the future, Rainmaker will protect and restore glaciers with man-made snowfall.
Immediately, this demonstration shows how Rainmaker will add new water to the Colorado River and Great Salt Lake in the coming months.
We turned around this analysis and white paper just a couple days after operating. There are many data sources I want to deepen our understanding of the atmosphere and increase our provable production; we’re building the instruments to collect that data in subsequent operations. But at Rainmaker, we won’t tout LOIs, simulations, or lab tests. What matters is physically measuring that you’ve affected the atmosphere; proving that we’ve produced water. We prefer sharing only the tech that has proven to make more water for farms, industries, and ecosystems in need.
Expect a regular cadence of these from us as we build the best atmospheric science lab in the world. Feedback is welcome in the interim.
Rainmaker Century.

This would absolutely be an amazing move by Silver Lake. I'm deeply skeptical of a future state where every enterprise vibe-codes and manages their own HCM. Workday and Aneel are much more likely to do something special with AI.

I've now added Wispr, Notion, Granola, Fireflies, Zoom, Gemini, Cluely, Otter, Fathom, Read AI, and Wingrep to every meeting.
Each produces slightly different meeting notes.
I send all of them to Claude and ChatGPT, which push the summaries into Slackbot and Salesforce AI. Linear agents automatically create tickets while Notion agents create follow-ups in Notion. A Zapier workflow then uses 500k tokens to draft a follow up email in Superhuman.
None of it works and all of it is wrong but man, is it beautiful.
AGI is here.

On July 2, 1776, the Second Continental Congress took the decisive constitutional act. It voted for independence by adopting Richard Henry Lee's resolution that the colonies "are, and of right ought to be, free and independent States."
That was the actual vote of political separation from Great Britain.
In governance terms, July 2 was the act of severance. July 4 was the public instrument of justification, the date Congress approved the final text of the Declaration of Independence explaining why separation was justified.
The Declaration was then engrossed on parchment, and delegates began signing it on August 2, 1776.
That is why John Adams thought July 2 would be celebrated. Writing to Abigail Adams on July 3, he predicted that "The Second Day of July 1776" would become the great American anniversary.
✪ July 2, 1776: Congress declared independence as a legal-political act.
✪ July 4, 1776: Congress adopted the written Declaration explaining that act.
✪ August 2, 1776: Signing of the engrossed Declaration began.

Netherlands just cancelled the 36% tax on unrealized gains.
Back to the drawing board after huge negative public reaction.
You can't force people to pay taxes on paper profits they have not realized yet. Especially when those gains can evaporate overnight.
This policy was going to destroy retail investors and drive wealth to other countries. People would have been forced liquidate assets just to cover tax bills on holdings they wanted to keep.
Public pressure works when enough people speak up.

The short video originated on social media accounts that acknowledge all of its content is AI-generated. There is no reporting, including on Fox 9, the Minneapolis TV channel where the chase was purportedly broadcast live, that it was an actual event.
