Mass migration has torn apart Australia's social fabric and put enormous pressure on its housing and jobs markets. Albo's response? Blame British backpackers!

The @AustralianLabor government has reduced the allowances for ADF members serving overseas on operations to correspond to the allowances available to DFAT diplomats. Having spent three decades in uniform as an Infantrymen and Commando officer and undertaken 19 operational tours I don’t recall one instance where I shared my shell scrape, basher or trench with a member of the diplomatic service.

DSA candidate Tim Denson tries to sell the crowd on “democratizing the workplace” and says Walmart should belong to the workers.
Big mistake. The guy 6 ft away from him grew up in Venezuela. And he’s heard this communist fairy tale before.
DANIEL DI MARTINO: “So you want to take it [Walmart] from its owners and have the workers do what?”
TIM DENSON: “I want the workers to own it and get paid better and have better benefits and be able to provide better lives for their families.”
DI MARTINO: “We can buy shares in Walmart right now. In fact, all of the SpaceX workers became millionaires overnight.”
“You can start a workers’ cooperative right now. It’s legal, but under a socialist country, you’re not allowed to own your own property and start your own private corporation.”
Denson tried to refute Di Martino’s point. Then Di Martino dropped this line on him:
DI MARTINO: “It’s very easy to be a socialist in a capitalist country. It’s illegal to be a capitalist in a socialist country. That is the difference.”
[audience applause]
Then it got personal:
DI MARTINO: “When I had to go to the grocery store, Tim, I had to put my fingerprint in a scanning machine so that they would tell me what I was allowed to purchase.”
“And I could only go Mondays and Saturdays because we have to ration food, because that’s what happens when there’s no profit motive and the farmers, their food is confiscated because they had to sell it to the government and everybody else at the price the government tells the farmers.”
“My mom made chocolate bonbons for parties.”
“Well, people have a right to chocolate, so we had a price control on chocolate.”
“So my mom had to buy counterfeit chocolate, put it in black bags as if we were cocaine drug dealers. That’s what socialism was in Venezuela. That’s what worker ownership of the means of production is.”
“Where has it ever worked?”
Denson had no answer. Because there isn’t one.
This is who our elected representatives have decided to quote who they get their advice from. Safety masquerading as govt censorship. Australia is lost. #auspol
Great news! You’ll soon have more choice and control over what you see in your social media feeds, after the Digital Duty of Care Bill passed the House of Representatives last week. This is a real triumph for campaigners like the @teachusconsent team and crossbench MPs, who have long advocated for more control over the toxic and harmful algorithm-driven content that appears on our platforms. We still have a long way to go to create safer online spaces, particularly for young Australians, but this reform moves us in the right direction.

If senior people don’t feel they need to resign over the appalling, heartless police mistreatment of Henry Nowak as the eighteen-year-old student lay dying, then how bad would something have to be before senior people resigned?
Time was when honour demanded that conduct with heinous consequences led to the people ultimately responsible taking responsibility.
I am so sick of the Nothing to see here culture.

Democrats are not going to like what he just said. One of the loudest voices in the game looks straight into the camera and claims the man they can’t beat in 2028 is already sitting in the Cabinet: sharp, bilingual, “smart as a whip,” and ready at the drop of a hat. While the left plots to take back the House and chase impeachment, he says they’re walking into a trap. He sees no Democrat who can stop this guy, and he lays out exactly why in under two minutes. No hedging, no spin, just one blunt claim that has people nodding along or typing angry replies. Is he right, or is this the most overconfident prediction of the year? The last line is the one everyone will be quoting all week, so stay till the very last second. Then drop your take in the comments.

Trump's Path Forward After the Republican Midterm Defeat | Victor Davis Hanson
Republicans face a new political reality following their midterm losses, but President Donald Trump still has two years to secure his legacy.
With Democrats taking control of Congress, Trump's path forward could depend on executive orders, judicial appointments, a resolution to the conflict with Iran and peace in Ukraine.
Meanwhile, the growing influence of Democratic Socialists raises the stakes for 2028, when a Democratic victory could pave the way for sweeping changes to the Supreme Court, immigration enforcement and the balance of power in Washington.

Once again Labor is treating taxpayers’ money as its own and spending it to serve its own political ends.
They have splashed MORE money on news organisations in another round of grant funding. This time under the “News Innovation Fund”.
We saw it with multicultural grants and invitation-only sports and community grants.
Now it is subsidising the newsrooms meant to hold it to account, under rules that shut out media outlets the government thinks will criticise it.
Like this government’s whole approach to grants, it stinks.

The hard truth about Australia’s jobs and migration crisis:
✅ 1.68 million Australians are now unemployed or underemployed (up from 1.35M in 2022).
✅ Real wages have fallen by 1.5% since this government took power.
✅ Over 70% of new jobs are in the taxpayer-funded care economy, not the private sector.
During Question Time, I questioned Minister Gallagher on how high migration creates a labour glut that suppresses wage growth and burdens taxpayers.
Instead of real answers, we got spin and deflection.
Aussie workers deserve better than policies that undermine their pay packets.

No one's talking about this rort.
$325 million in Multiculturalism grants last year.
5,400% increase in just a few years.
94% to Labor seats.
$45 million to Tony Burke's seat.
No accountability.

One of the darkest aspects of Britain’s anarcho-tyranny is that it pressures the parents of children murdered by foreigners, at their most vulnerable moment, into statements that endorse the very ideology which helped create the conditions for the deaths in the first place.
Henry Nowak’s family have said they were “manipulated in our darkest hour” by police after his murder.
The 18-year-old’s family have said they felt “hoodwinked” by police in the immediate aftermath of his death and the weeks and months that followed.
