Notice that the "Tuli Naawe" cuts across? Because then, they'd have changed it to "Tuli Niighe" to suit the Lusoga readers.

I have closely followed Uganda’s cement industry for years — from the era when Tororo Cement and Hima Cement dominated the market, to the entry of Kampala Cement as a bold disruptor, and now, sadly, to its descent into receivership.
Kampala Cement’s story is not just about one company. It is a story about ambition, debt-funded growth, industrial strategy, governance, quality, liquidity, competition and what can go wrong when a promising manufacturing bet begins to crack from within.
Following the recent appointment of receivers over the company, I went back into the numbers, filings, debt records, shareholder structure, governance questions, parliamentary scrutiny, customer-credit pressures and the events that preceded the receivership.
The result is a deep, incisive and must-read business investigation into how a company that once shook up Uganda’s cement market — growing into a UGX174.7 billion-a-year manufacturer at its peak — ended up reporting zero sales and facing enforcement over a USD49.3 million TDB debenture amid USD82.98 million in registered obligations.

The data doesn’t support an overall surplus in Kampala. Greater Kampala already has a housing deficit of 400,000+ units and needs about 62,800 new homes every year through 2030. The real issue is a mismatch: oversupply at the high end, undersupply of affordable housing.

Dr Castro Kisuule was one of the Dr's that helped me recover at Case Clinic then when I was attacked by robbers.
I have also known for quite some time ( Over 20 years ) . I know how much he values professionalism.
The current events are quite unfortunate especially with the patient being of high profile but I believe Alexandra Medical Center is still one of the best Medical facilities in this country.
I stand with Dr Castro Kisuule through this trying time.
