It's been a rather busy week but some fruit is really nice to see. The first issue of Palimpsest is out and, along with some of my colleagues, I have an essay in the issue: heyzine.com/flip-book/39407c…

People gotta realize in 2016, this was the comic equivalent to "I'm here to talk to you about the Avengers initiative"

I’m a very “visual” thinker. That’s probably why music is so hard to describe. “Flavorful Sonic Auroras” still fails as a description. “Ocean of resonance”? Still not enough.

I don’t even have an opinion on the distressed child part but every time Nigerians say that lack of beating is making us produce uncouth irresponsible children now, I look at the adults and elders who were beaten and are supposedly responsible in this our society lol.
All of you dragging Maraji are mad people. Which yeye distressed child. That's why y'all flooding the streets with uncouth irresponsible children that have nothing upstairs. Put book inside file you dey scream. Lmaooo dem say the pikin dey distress. E ni ba Jesu joba 😂😂😂

A mistake by adult is a human moment because nobody is perfect. A mistake by child deserves punishment because the child should have known better.
I remember someone talking about spanking her child for mistakenly spilling water so I asked her what she did when she spilled water. She was like I get a rag to clean it, so I asked her why she didn’t spank herself and she was like “it’s a mistake”. Me:

Nigerians don’t want to understand that children can have negative emotions. Yes, your child can be angry with you. Happy and obedient are not the only two emotions children are allowed to have.

While we're at it, parents aren't the only one that abuse kids. Some of the most barbaric incidents occurred in school. I went to three boarding schools and experienced three different kinds of hell. I'm numb to much because I had to learn to harden my heart.
Visited the therapist last month and when she asked me about my childhood and I joked that we all got beaten as children, she said she didn't, and that her kids didn't. I just sighed. So it was possible?

PRESS STATEMENT STAY INFORMED. STAY SAFE. Public health is a shared responsibility, and the right information helps us all stay safe. The Federal Government, working with the NCDC and relevant health authorities, is taking the necessary steps to protect public health and strengthen surveillance following the confirmation of an Ebola disease case in the FCT. There is no need for panic. What matters is staying informed, practising good hand hygiene, knowing the symptoms and seeking guidance from public health authorities if you suspect exposure. 📌 Remember: Ebola spreads through direct contact with the blood or body fluids of an infected person who is sick or has died, or contaminated materials. It does not spread before symptoms begin. For reliable information or to report a suspected case, call the NCDC toll-free line 6232, available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Let’s stay calm, rely on verified information and do our part to keep our communities safe. #MinistryOfHealthNG

6 Years Later! We are still dealing with Insecurity, hunger, poverty, lack of proper health care and the highest level of corruption and impunity. The saddest part is that we are even more divided as a people at a time when we should be most united. I hope one day we truly realize the power that we have as citizens and stop allowing a few selfish individuals destroy the success and prosperity of the majority of us. Till then, ✌🏾 and 🤍
