I don’t know. Maybe a society where billionaires have enough money lying around to start space programs and control communication while people starve and ration their medicine isn’t the best system.

"Do senior devs still have to look up stuff on StackOverflow?"
Gentle reader, I have gone to StackOverflow to read answers that I wrote about behavior that I myself designed and implemented.
There's nothing quite like spending the day staring at code in frustration and panic as nothing works, wondering if you even still know how to parse an array, before finally figuring out the problem at the zero hour and remembering why this shit is fun
I'm thrilled to announce I've joined Y'all as a Junior Front-End Engineer. They're such a great group of talented folks, and I couldn't be happier to be on the team!
When you can no longer tell if @uidotdev is kidding or not. All aboard the SvextJS train
ALT Screenshot that reads: “I’m ending this story by giving you a quick pitch for our hot new project – SvextJS. Hear me out: Our logo has three triangles, our framework is meta AF, and our design system is just a single Jay-Z lyric, “all black everything.” We are raising a $12m pre-seed at a $150m valuation to join the growing market of open source JavaScript frameworks built on top of other open source JavaScript frameworks built on top of surveillance capitalism. Thank you for your consideration.”
Hey all, hoping for a signal boost. I’m currently looking for new frontend roles (preferably with React and/or Next.js). If you know anyone looking for devs, please pass along my portfolio or GitHub!

Working on a food-themed Next.js boilerplate, and the serendipity of “Fork on GitHub” working so seamlessly with the motif is 👌👌👌
Stay cool, fellow PDXer. At least having that 116° stretch means everything under it is somewhat more bearable?
*cries in shoddy window AC*
Ok #webdev, I’ve been doing a ton of dev work lately and desperately need a new desk chair. Can’t afford Aeron/Leap/etc-level, but with chronic sciatica/previous spinal injuries/etc I need something ergonomic. Any recs or sites where I might find a deal?
