We are on the verge of a civilizational change.
Yet outside of books, there is an intense philosophical void.
Little thread.
Good. Kill Higgsfield and their horrendous practice.
As a builder in the AI video space, I was terrified about how much markup API providers charge for simply routing the models.
Higgsfield API adds a 40% markup even with its maximum advertised discount. Fal adds 100%. Runway adds 414% (Seedance 2 480p)
I might be hated by the industry, but :
Today, we’re launching Sume API, the first image & video model provider with 0% markup.
For example with Seedance 2.5 1080p
• 50% cheaper than fal
• 50% cheaper than higgsfield api (29% even with biggest discount)
• 28.02% cheaper than kie ai
The routing infrastructure layer is never the moat. We believe that APIs should be commoditized, and the moats will be built at the application layer.
Check the pricing comparisons below, and see how the broken industry is saved.
The French police officially told shopkeepers to hire private security for the upcoming riots. In short: you’re on your own. The state is failing in realtime.

Announcing Prosperity One: a proposed 6.6 gigawatt nuclear campus in Lewis County, Kentucky
10 months of AI x gamedev.
Clearest gains I got so far:
- state-of-the-art features now take around 3 days to be researched, designed, implemented, easy to use, optimized, documented, and production-ready
- everything benchmarked
- everything documented
- commit / push / conflict resolution are automatic
- 0 tech debt
Having a clean & powerful architecture helps. I can tell Astra is having a lot of fun given the unusual possibilities offered by our codebase.
Manual work still massive, but game development got even more pleasing & smooth than it used to be.
To be honest, Astra keeps showing me things I had no ideas were possible.
The way it benchmarks things is so thorough & so clever, it makes me feel like a prehistoric creature.
To do this manually would require an absurd amount of time & energy that is better used on design & creativity.
You know how in Fallout 3, trains were implemented as a "hat" on an invisible moving character? That's the kind of necessary hack we gamedevs had to do when strained by time, money & talents.
Last weekend I implemented a fully featured monorail, completely revamping our existing prototype. It follows splines. Multiple wagons follow each other correctly. Enterable + playable. Crowded. It properly accelerates / slow down using physics, ensuring it stops exactly where I need to train stations. 6 audio layers depending on acceleration / speed. Rail is an extruded 3D shape following the spline. Structures & lights are spawned along the spline at regular interval. I have tunnels. I have sparks when it brakes, rain splashes, when it's outside, etc. I have a cameraman system to follow the monorail going across the city, with best candidate-rating, cooldown, area-specific cameras (inside tunnels), event-specific cameras (first time to sync with birds flying for example), etc. It has visual LODs, but also simulation LODs, keeping a low frequency simplified simulation for trains far from camera. All of this, setup in engine, no external tools, in a few days.
Of course it's only possible at this level because we built an insane architecture & powerful procedural tools for years prior to this. It's just wonderful.
Simulon is insanely good.
Anyone remotely interested in 3D, CG, and cinema should toy with it for fun.
You can do this in 3 minutes, app download included. Try it.
Here’s how @Simulon Reality-Aware Rendering works. I placed my raptor next to the water and dropped a stone in to see how he’d respond.
His 3D placement sets his starting position and scale. When the recording starts, he becomes a ghost, leaving me to shape the performance through actions, gestures and spoken instructions. Simulon uses the recorded scene to generate his behaviour and integrate him into the footage afterward.
Instead of typing a prompt, spinning the slot machine and hoping for the best, you can show it, say it and perform it. Your intent, timing and spatial context are right there in the recording. It’s a much more intuitive way to create.
This breakdown is generated procedurally, summarising the actual reasoning behind the result.
The Louvre is closed.
I hope the army is ready to defend it.
It hurts, but it’s true.
Before you can even build, you need to clean house. By having the courage to do unpopular but necessary reforms.
No more money printing. Rigorous spending, budget surplus, debt repayment. Lower taxation, which requires to rethink the state around efficiency & its core missions. No more infantilizing nanny state.
Fewer public workers. To attract the top talents from the private, huge financial incentives for successful state programs rather than flat compensation regardless of performance.
Pensions have to be demographically balanced + the system has to evolve to capitalization rather than the current generational ponzi scam transferring wealth from the youth to the old, who already own most of the real estate.
Massive simplification of the entire legal code (90% reduction). Systemic review by AI, looking for loopholes, incoherences, redundant articles, and opportunities to simplify.
Strict secularism. Dramatically increased safety for all, and in particular women, jews and LGBT, who are currently unsafe. Remigration of the foreign criminals, abusers & saboteurs with incompatible values / anti-west rhetoric.
And so much more.
Spain. France. Italy.
The exact same mass-produced thugs, dressed exactly the same way everywhere, are destroying the civilisation that welcomed them. This is just training. They are preparing. They are mapping out how far they can go.
It's time to draw the line.
In the West, after the devastation caused by tribalism during World War II, we evolved past it, abandoning collectives in favor of the individual.
We naively believed the rest of the world followed. But many still follow a tribal "us" vs "them" mindset.
