Two chances in perfect conditions and he missed both. The Butker run is over.

Smart MacBook user: Year 1 (2022): MacBook Pro M2 Pro - Buys a powerful Apple Silicon laptop. - Gets a 10-core CPU and up to 16-core GPU. - Enjoys a stunning Liquid Retina XDR display. - Gets up to 18 hours of Apple-rated video playback. - Uses it for coding, studying, professional work and productivity. Year 2 (2023): MacBook Pro M2 Pro - Doesn't upgrade just because newer MacBook Pros launch. - Still gets excellent performance for development. - Runs multiple applications and browser tabs smoothly. - Enjoys the same premium display and performance. - Saves money instead of buying another laptop. Year 3 (2024): MacBook Pro M2 Pro - Doesn't upgrade just because the M4 arrives. - Continues using it for programming and multitasking. - Handles demanding development workflows. - Keeps all projects, files and development environments. - Avoids unnecessary hardware upgrades. Year 4 (2025): MacBook Pro M2 Pro - Doesn't upgrade just because newer M5 models arrive. - Replaces the battery if its health deteriorates. - Cleans up storage and maintains regular backups. - Continues using the same machine for work and learning. - Invests money in skills instead of another laptop. Year 5 (2026): MacBook Pro M2 Pro - Doesn't upgrade just because newer MacBooks launch. - Still uses it for daily development and productivity. - Enjoys the premium display, speakers and build quality. - Continues using compatible macOS applications. - Gets maximum value from the original investment. The result: - Five years with one MacBook Pro. - No unnecessary yearly upgrades. - Less electronic waste. - More money saved. - More focus on skills and productivity. Smart people buy laptops to get work done, not to chase every new release. 💀

RIGGED: ESPN announcer calls out SEC refs for ANOTHER missed call favoring Texas. "I can't believe I'm saying this." Texas needs a win to avoid being eliminated from CFP contention.

Dennis Gates is an objectively good recruiter and objectively bad coach. He’s hardly even a coach. Keep standing there with a serious look on your face. You’re a joke of a coach.

Introducing Arete-27B: Qwen3.8-27B, post-trained to reinforce Western values. Chinese open models are currently the strongest available, but they ship with state-aligned behavior in the weights. We built an 803-prompt eval across seven value categories, including freedom of expression, democracy, and privacy, and measured how often a model adopts China’s party line. After fine-tuning on roughly 53 million tokens, Arete-27B's propaganda rate fell from 22% to 1%, in line with the Western models we tested. Its Hermes Bench score shows no significant performance tradeoffs. The values in an open model are one fine-tune away. Our eval, weights, and training data are available now along with the full blog post: nousresearch.com/arete

Sources: Missouri has re-signed quarterback Austin Simmons for the 2027 season, which would bring back a player who projects as one of the faces of the sport. By signing now, Simmons’ return allows the staff at Missouri to retain and recruit a top roster.

Anyone calling for the firing of Andy Reid is dumber than brain dead

Catastrophically stupid. Reid delivered three Super Bowls and turned decades of mediocrity into sustained excellence. The Hunts extended him through 2029 and still call him a Hall of Fame coach after last year's 6-11. Fans demanding his firing after a 5-2 start and two tough losses are the textbook definition of spoiled and short-sighted.

BREAKING: Europe is under a massive cyber attack, with supermarket fridges and freezers in Belgium, Sweden, Luxembourg, Ireland, the Netherlands, Finland and Estonia all hacked today by raising temperatures to up to 50°C, destroying huge quantities of food, per Reuters. "Everything is destroyed," a sales manager in Sweden said, adding that "there has been a cyberattack and all our freezers reached 50 degrees." More than 40 supermarkets in Belgium and Luxembourg were affected. "I only have two words for them: wake up, please, because there's something going on," a store manager in Belgium said. This follows a similar cyberattack last month that hit hundreds of supermarkets in France, raising freezers as high as 80°C and causing major food losses. It also comes after freezers at 6 US military bases mysteriously malfunctioned, spoiling large quantities of food, which the Pentagon is investigating as a suspected cyberattack.
