The sheer fucking hypocrisy surrounding Elon Musk is breathtaking.
For decades, billionaire-funded foundations have financed advocacy groups, political campaigns, legal organizations, and efforts to reshape public policy.
George Soros is one of the most prominent examples.
And somehow that influence is routinely presented as enlightened philanthropy.
Then Elon Musk enters politics, spends openly, challenges powerful institutions, and suddenly the entire establishment discovers the dangers of billionaire influence.
Give me a fucking break.
The man has built companies that launch rockets, connect the world through satellites, manufacture vehicles, and advance technologies with enormous implications for humanity.
His long-term ambition is to make civilization multiplanetary.
He has a profound personal interest in a future where technological progress remains possible.
You can disagree with his politics.
But pretending he’s just another billionaire looking for influence ignores the extraordinary scale of what he’s actually trying to accomplish.

Ryan Cohen has purchased 5,144,810 $GME shares in 2026, for about $118.56 million (average price ~$23.04/share)
He's fully aligned with shareholders.
I hope the warrants don't expire worthless, but I trust the man behind the plan, even if he is slow and mentally disoriented.

The public outcry toward Ryan Cohen, who sits atop an issuer, for not yet 'making' a free derivative product go in the money, is utterly ridiculous.
Nine profitable quarters in a row. The CEO has put nearly $100,000,000 of his OWN MONEY into the common stock over the past month and change.
What more do people want?

I see how some people can watch flashy robot demos on the timeline and think with a shiver that the robot apocalypse is around the corner, but reality check:
There is no robot in the world that can change the batteries in a jack-o-lantern.
If you have a robot friendly door handle it might be able to walk outside, pick it up, and carry it back inside. The robot could open the drawer with your batteries in it, but then things get tough.
Opening the package of AA batteries?
Extracting a precision screwdriver from its case?
Unscrewing four tiny screws that require a hard press and twist?
Popping batteries out of the case?
Yes, you could build and train a specialist robot to do that today, but there is a very long way to go to replace the full range of human capabilities. Near term doomer scenarios should stop at “secretly controlling humanity” instead of “wiping humanity out” 😀

"The dose makes the poison" is undefeated.
Even the internet's favorite supplements must follow the rules of toxicology.
There's a drug that treats and causes the same disease.
The difference? The dose—how much you take.

My friends know my wife is a huge anti-Trumper. She believes firmly that he's gonna seize permanent power and never let go. She knows this in her soul and cannot be dissuaded from the certainty by any argument. I know. I've tried.
Setting aside the fact the man is *old* and has no desire for a third term, I keep coming back to the fact that Trump has become the defining personality of American politics in the 21st century. Doesn't matter if I think he's a showboating showman with no real statesmanship. He towers over Obama, W. Bush, every Senator, every Congressman, every Governor, etc.
Everyone and everything just pings and pongs off the hull of the U.S.S. Trump and it's all reactive politics all the time. Even the DSA—who are Communists cloaked in Millennial metrosexualism—just hurl rotten fruit at this guy. Using him to hype up their growing base. If he did not exist they would have to invent him.
The Orange One is the dragon breathing fire across the American political scene, and the number of jousting pugilists who tilt at the Orange windmill is legion.
He defines who they are. Never the opposite. And I suspect in many ways this is what drives their hate.
Replying to @chamath
Pretty much.
As of the past few weeks, debt markets have almost entirely shut off access to money for any company that doesn’t have substantial revenue independent of AI data centers.
SpaceX closed $40B of debt for GPUs, but we’re investment grade and have Starlink & launch revenue.
That means the 200+ neoclouds are going to see guppy-level death and consolidation. Some will make it through, but not many.

A lot of people are trying to explain the Epstein affair through antisemitism. They're looking at the wrong axis.
Bill Gates isn't Jewish. He met Epstein several times, years after Epstein's conviction. If your theory is ethnic, it collapses on the very first name.
I read the Epstein affair through a different lens: the oldest war in human history. The individual versus the mass. Private property, freedom to build, freedom to grow, versus the mind that looks at humanity and sees livestock to be managed.
Look at what Epstein actually believed. He told scientists he wanted to "seed the human race with his DNA" by impregnating women at his New Mexico ranch. In emails released this year, he argued that racial gaps in test scores were genetic and pushed genetic editing as the answer. He mused to an AI researcher that "maybe climate change is a good way of dealing with overpopulation."
Notice what's missing from all of it: the individual. Only populations, stocks, gene pools, numbers to optimize. Humans as raw material for a design drawn up by someone who considers himself above them.
That's not a Jewish trait. It's not even a left or right trait in the electoral sense. It's the mental structure at the core of Marxism: the conviction that an enlightened few have the right to engineer humanity from above, and that individuals are just inputs. Marx wanted to remake man through the economy. The eugenicists wanted to remake him through breeding. The transhumanists want to remake him through technology. Same posture. The planner and the herd.
Communism never died. It changed vocabulary. From the Politburo to the Davos panel. From the five-year plan to the global roadmap. From "the new Soviet man" to "optimizing the species." And the people who hold this view don't need to be cynical. They sincerely believe they're the shepherds.
Which brings us to the AI era. Bill Gates said on national TV that within a decade humans won't be needed "for most things." Think about what that sentence assumes. That a human being's value is their output. That once a machine can produce it, you're surplus. That someone, somewhere, will decide what you're still allowed to do.
That's the real fault line of this century. Not Jews versus non-Jews. Not even left versus right. Collectivists versus free people. Those who see humanity as a mass to be managed, and those who see each human being as sovereign: owner of their body, their work, their property, their future.
AI can go two ways. It can be the greatest tool of individual empowerment ever built, letting one person do what used to take an entire company. Or it can be the ultimate instrument of the planner, the dream every central committee ever had, finally within reach.
Epstein is not an anomaly. He's a symptom. The question isn't who he was connected to by blood. The question is who shares his view of humanity.
Choose your side.
To every American about to vote in the midterms, and to every Western nation: this is a very important message. It explains why there is chaos everywhere.
The West never understood communism. And that is exactly why it's sick with it.
We were taught that communism was an economic mistake. Bread lines, failed five-year plans, the USSR collapsing in 1991. Case closed.
Wrong. Economics was only the surface. The core of communism is the systemic lie. Not one man's lie: the lie as social architecture. A system where truth is no longer discovered but assigned, where language no longer describes reality but covers it up.
Poles have words for this. Zakłamanie: a society so saturated with lies that truth becomes almost unreachable. Obłuda: hypocrisy performed for so long that the mask becomes the face. English has no equivalent. That's no accident. You don't have a word for a wound you never lived through. And without the word, you can't recognize the disease when it comes back in a new costume.
My thesis is simple: the West has been infected. Not by Soviet tanks, by the software. And most of our current dysfunction flows from it, first and foremost.
Look at France. Over 57% of GDP in public spending. Debt approaching 120% of GDP and still climbing. Not a single balanced budget since 1974. Fifty years. That's not a policy anymore, it's a condition. And every year, with a perfectly straight face, we're told that this time it's discipline, that the social model is saved, that everything can be funded without anyone paying.
That's zakłamanie, social-democrat edition. The founding lie is that you can redistribute wealth without caring who creates it. That the state can absorb more than half the economy and the economy will stay alive. It doesn't work. It holds as long as you can borrow, until you end up borrowing to pay the interest on what you already borrowed.
We have no gulags. But we have the structure: a state that plans, subsidizes, regulates every move, and a political class whose real job is managing the gap between what it says and what actually happens.
Macron is the perfect embodiment. His signature "en même temps" ("at the same time") is Orwell's doublethink turned into a doctrine of government: hold two contradictory propositions and demand that everyone accept both. Liberal in speech, while debt goes from roughly 100% to nearly 120% of GDP on his watch. Édouard Philippe, Gabriel Attal: same school, same grammar. Fiscal seriousness at the podium, rising debt in the books. And the worst part isn't that they're cynical. It's that after reciting the script for so long, they no longer see the gap. That's exactly what people from the East describe: at its mature stage, the lie isn't cynical anymore. It's believed.
This isn't just a French story. In the US, a growing part of the Democratic Party has adopted the same grammar: truth becomes a matter of belonging, disagreement becomes violence, language gets rewritten by moral decree. Wokeism is the same operating system with a new interface. The proletariat replaced by identity groups. The class enemy replaced by the "problematic." Public self-criticism replaced by public apologies online.
A Pole, a Czech, a Hungarian recognizes the pattern in three seconds. We see a slightly excessive but well-meaning movement.
That's where everything is decided. You can't fight a disease you can't name. The debt, the deindustrialization, the collapse of trust in institutions, the political paralysis: this isn't a series of accidents. It's what happens when a society stops paying the price of truth.
The first task is to relearn how to say what is. The rest will follow.

I've been saying it for months: we're heading toward a new 1989.
Not the fall of the Berlin Wall this time. The fall of the globalist project, and its fundamentally collectivist vision of humanity.
Remember the video Klaus Schwab's World Economic Forum published in 2016, the "predictions for 2030." Prediction number one: "You'll own nothing. And you'll be happy." You'll own nothing, rent everything, and smile about it. They presented it as a desirable future. Marx summed up communism in a single sentence: the abolition of private property. The WEF just rewrote it with a delivery drone.
Their problem is that two forces are now tearing this project apart.
The first is AI. For the first time in history, a single individual can own a lever of production that used to require an army of employees, a bank, and a state. AI doesn't centralize capital. It hands it to the people who build. That is the exact opposite of "you'll own nothing."
The second is reality. Exploding debt, collapsing public services despite record taxes, rising insecurity, schools that no longer teach anything. You can lie about reality for decades. You can't stop it from arriving.
So here's what they're going to do now.
First, activate their networks. Soros's foundations, starting with Open Society, have spent years pouring money into NGOs, activist collectives, and "anti-repression" groups that form the ideological and logistical breeding ground of the crowds we're seeing today from Paris to Montreal. When the argument no longer works, all that's left is chaos.
Second, manipulate the youth. This is how communists have always taken power. Mao, speaking to Chinese students in 1957: "The world is yours. You young people are like the sun at eight or nine in the morning." Nine years later, he unleashed the Red Guards: high schoolers and university students who humiliated their teachers, denounced their parents, and burned books. And once they were no longer useful, he shipped some 17 million of them off to the countryside to be "re-educated." Youth is always the fuel of the revolution. Never its beneficiary.
Third, the globalist elites will do everything they can to keep the chaos going. Because a country in chaos demands more state, more control, more surveillance, more "governance." Chaos isn't a bug in their project. It's how it runs.
But either way, their project has only two possible endings. Neither one goes their way.
Ending one: political Islam. They think they can use it as an ally against the West, against the nation, against the family. They forgot Iran. In 1979, the Iranian left, led by the communists of the Tudeh Party, marched hand in hand with Khomeini to overthrow the Shah. Four years later, the party was banned, its leaders in prison, many of them executed. Islamism never lets itself be used by Marxism. It devours it. Your Marxist project will end up eaten by the very people you thought you were manipulating.
Ending two: economic collapse. Because let's say it plainly: the elites running this project are, on the whole, economically illiterate. Brilliant at storytelling, hopeless at incentives. Ludwig von Mises proved it back in 1920: without private property there are no prices, without prices there is no economic calculation, and without economic calculation there is only waste and shortage. Hayek drove the point home: no central planner can aggregate the dispersed knowledge of billions of people. Global collectivism can't work. Not because it's been badly implemented. Because it is structurally impossible.
The USSR learned that in 1989. They're about to learn it now.
The wall is already shifting.
