I think that records matter. And if you can’t win the MVP Award in the season you broke the AL single-season HR record, then they should just give it to Ohtani every year that he simply is healthy. But doing that strips the award of all meaning, IMO.

I got to help Kevin Conroy at a convention once, and seeing him interact with his fans was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. He was so generous and so kind. Truly. And I got to tell him what he meant to me. I’m so lucky I got to do that. He will always be my hero.
