Given the levelof anti Israel venom from your Party including the inappropriate sanctions, is it surprising that they regard your colleagues with great suspicion? Politicians have been entering the region for publicity stunts. Why would they allow this so near an election
I was saddened to hear my parliamentary colleages were denied access to the West Bank by Israel.
As I discovered myself last year when I too was refused entry by Isreal, an unacceptable pattern is emerging whereby the Israel authorities deny access to the occupied territories for elected representatives who wish to see for themselves what is happening on the ground.

This chart is simply mind-blowing. It’s a perfect visualization of the German “green” energy transition though. Let’s take a look.
1. Germany increased its installed energy generation capacity since 2000 by a whopping 120%, yet German electricity generation fell by 13%. Isn’t that a paradox? The answer is simple, renewables do not generate electricity constantly, as required for an industrial nation, so they need parallel energy-generating infrastructure, e.g., gas. That’s the main reason countries that moved to renewables, like Germany or the UK, have the highest energy prices for industry and households.
2. Based on fairly conservative estimates, Germany has spent about €400 billion on this “green” energy transition, an eye-watering amount.
3. Higher energy prices have made German energy-intensive industries uncompetitive. Industrial production imploded, and countless well-paid jobs disappeared. This explains the reduction in energy demand and generation.
4. By shutting clean nuclear plants while keeping coal and gas, German energy production generates about 10 times more emissions than France’s. You read that right: 10 times more. If Germany had switched off coal power plants first instead of nuclear, by now it would have avoided CO2 emissions equivalent to Berlin’s emissions over almost a century. Keep that in mind next time you chew on a paper drinking straw.
5. Worse still, production moved from Germany to Asia, where the same products generate far more emissions in manufacturing and shipping. A Chinese-built car shipped to Europe causes about 70% more emissions than one built in Germany, cement production causes twice as many.
Honestly, can you name a bigger absurdity than the German “green” energy transition? They spent a fortune to ruin their industry and hurt the climate badly. Isn’t it hilarious that German greens seriously claim other countries will follow the German way? In which parallel universe do these people live?

"We knew that by crossing into the [West Bank], we risked being detained ... and turned away by Israeli authorities." Ask and it shall be given you. Bizarre behaviour for a sitting British MP to land in a foreign country and not coordinate his itinerary with the host government.
Today Israeli authorities barred me and other European elected representatives from entering the West Bank to meet Palestinian students and civil society leaders, as part of a @ProgIntl delegation.
We knew that by crossing into the occupied Palestinian territories, we risked being detained, interrogated and turned away by Israeli authorities. And that, alas, is exactly what happened.
For more than eight hours, we were held, interrogated and made to feel as though we had done something wrong simply by attempting to enter.
The simple truth is we had done nothing wrong. We went to show our support for the Palestinian people and highlight the terrible injustice and violence being perpetrated against them. We want to ensure that people back home do not look away from the reality of what is happening.
Ultimately, we went to show solidarity. But we left with an even greater determination to speak out. We will not be silenced, and we will not look away. None of us should.
Totally
In ihm leben bummelig zwei Millionen Menschen. So viele, wie in Hamburg plus Speckgürtel. Oder Matjesgürtel. Geschenkt. Moin.
Also wir alle.
(Bevor mich einer verklagen will: Consanguinity profile in the Gaza Strip of Palestine: large-scale community-based study; DOI: 10.1016/j.ejmg.2014.01.003, 2014)
Ja, is juut, Adelheit-Ricola.

Due to popular demand, below the same data for some other European countries. Finland and Belgium have already crossed the point of no return, where the majority of voters have a vested interest in preventing any meaningful reforms of absurd state spending. Another two countries enjoying the socialist party as long as someone else is willing to finance it. At some point markets will say enough is enough though, like they did with France, and will stop buying their bonds at affordable rates forcing spending cuts.
The longer it takes, the more painful the necessary cuts will be. Enjoy the party while it lasts, it won’t last forever.
The point of no return by Richard von Mises is worth reading:
"A state becomes almost unreformable when the majority of the population is financially or structurally dependent on the state (state employees, civil servants, recipients of subsidies, grants, or transfer payments, etc.). As soon as those who net benefit from or are supported by the state outnumber those who do not, the system blocks reforms, since the majority votes out of self-interest for the preservation or expansion of state services."
Does this sound familiar? Some European countries, France, Belgium, Finland are already way beyond that point, closely followed by Germany, Spain, Austria and Italy. It works for a while, as long as markets buy more sovereign debt at reasonable interest rates. The party ends when they stop though. For France, they stopped this month, Belgium will be next.
The longer the socialist illusion persists, the more painful the inevitable cuts and adjustments will be. It’s pure arithmetic. Good luck Europe, good luck Euro. Buckle up, it won’t be pretty.
