That said, I get what the team is doing and why. If Queen is your guy then go and get your guy.
It could backfire and ATL gets a valuable pick next year, but then the Pelicans still have two young guys they feel are the future.

The New Orleans Pelicans are 5-22.
They are 1-13 on the road.
They’re a laughingstock. It doesn’t seem to be getting any better, either.
It is not “taking a chance” on Zion’s health at this point. His body cannot take the force and play style at his current weight. There is no chance or luck to it. It is physiologically a guarantee at this point. Believing otherwise is hopeful ignorance at best.
