Cross margin vs isolated, in one example $10,000 account, three 10x longs: ▫️ $BTC $50k, $ETH $30k, $SOL $20k ▫️ SOL drops 20%, BTC and ETH don't move Isolated: ▫️ only SOL gets liquidated, about -$2,000 ▫️ BTC and ETH still have 9% of room Cross: ▫️ nothing liquidated yet, but -$4,000 on the account ▫️ BTC and ETH room shrinks from 9% to 6.25% Cross is great for hedges. For separate bets, isolate them Which one do you use?

pyongyang cold wallet for bitcoin:native
New details on how the $6.3 billion Binance hack likely occurred: According to initial reports, hackers compromised a Binance engineer's laptop, gaining access to internal systems used to authorize withdrawals. The attackers then: 1. Hijacked a Binance hot wallet using Ethereum's EIP-7702 mechanism 2. Redirected wallet transactions to a malicious smart contract 3. Transferred billions in crypto attacker-controlled wallets 4. Spread the stolen funds across multiple wallets and converted some assets into ETH to avoid freezes The attack unfolded across multiple blockchains, with most funds drained in ~20 minutes. ~$3 billion of these funds have now been frozen, and Binance says it will cover all unrecovered hacking losses. The full investigation remains ongoing.

The owner of the @NYSE just bought into an onchain perp DEX @tradexyz on @HyperliquidX in just over a year: ▫️ $650B+ volume ▫️ 80+ markets: stocks, indices, commodities, FX ▫️ 0 of them open to US traders ICE wants to fix that last line: a US market on the same rails, with its own clearing and KYC, pending CFTC approval The NYSE owner didn't build its own. It plugged into onchain rails 👀

Weird take accusing TxFlow of using HL as its main reference Every product takes ideas from competitors, keeps the best parts and adds something of its own to make it more useful, reliable and interesting (if they actually pull it off, of course) This happens everywhere around us. And in crypto 99% of projects are copies of each other with small tweaks (L2 era, TPS race and so on) Same with the "too centralized, only 5 validators" thing. HL started the exact same way, few validators, multisig bridge, everyone screaming centralization. I was trading on HL back in 2023 and it had its share of problems too. And look where it is now @TxFlow_L1 is just getting started. Сopying was never the problem, the real question is what they build on top Judge it by what it does better, not by who it looked at first
a lot of people say we forked hyperliquid. one problem: Hyperliquid’s Layer1 code has never been open sourced. that’s their call, and it means there is nothing to fork. the matching, margin and liquidation logic is the hard part, and it only exists in two places: inside their chain and inside ours. most perp dexes don’t even run their own l1 at all, they’re apps on someone else’s chain, which is a fine choice, it just means the engine isn’t theirs. to the people who say you can fork hl with claude or codex over a weekend: would you trade on that engine? we built ours from scratch so that nobody has to answer that question.
