As a horror fan, I was immediately intrigued when I heard DC was making a body-horror psychological thriller, especially one centred on a villain who can reshape his face and body into almost anything. “Clayface” follows the iconic shape-shifting character, with director James Watkins and producer Matt Reeves steering the film away from the usual comic-book spectacle. The project also has some exciting horror credentials, with Mike Flanagan originally developing the concept and the movie drawing comparisons to David Cronenberg’s “The Fly” and John Carpenter’s classic films. In “Clayface,” rising Hollywood star Matt Hagen (Tom Rhys Harries) has his promising career destroyed when a crime boss leaves him horribly disfigured. Desperate to regain his former appearance, he turns to an experimental treatment by scientist Caitlyn (Naomi Ackie) that seemingly restores his looks but comes with terrifying side effects. As his grip on reality begins to unravel and his body undergoes grotesque transformations, Matt spirals into a destructive path of revenge, becoming the shape-shifting monster known as Clayface. With Gotham’s gloomy, rain-soaked streets as a backdrop, the movie takes DC in a seriously creepy new direction.

A few weeks back I visited a friend who shares a wall with a rambunctious neighbor. I was up half the night listening to drunken covers of Sweet Caroline. She slept through it all, thanks to her SnoozeBand Bluetooth Sleep Headband. I had to put it to the test. Does the SnoozeBand Original deserve a place among the best sleep headphones? After testing it, the Snoozeband has become my secret weapon to falling asleep faster when I need to listen to something in order to nod off but don't want anything in my ear. Whether I'm staying at my friend's house with her karaoke-loving neighbors or I'm trying to sleep when travelling, the Snoozeband offers a comfortable cocoon to stream white noise and block out distractions. The thin speakers, soft band and breathable design ensures the SnoozeBand is comfortable all night long. Yes, even for side sleepers. You might feel some light pressure on the ears but a quick readjustment should put a stop to it. I've tested a couple of Bluetooth sleep bands and the SnoozeBand has the thinnest speakers I've come across.

Audiophile.fm will be everywhere soon — mark my words. First reported by TechRadar, Audiophile.fm is a free radio station aggregator with tons of music from all over the world. The music streaming app is completely free to use; you don't need to make an account, and there are no in-app ads. The app features tons of lossless radio stations: you can choose from any, listen for as long as you want, and there's no limit to how many times you can switch. Surely there's a catch here? Not as far as I can see. Bojan Vidanovic started making the platform in 2024 when he wanted an easier way to find lossless radio stations. Enter Audiophile.fm, a good-looking radio station aggregator app streaming FLAC files.

Nintendo Switch Sports Resort brings the series’ iconic motion-fueled gameplay to the Switch 2 with polished visuals, a couple of new sports and, of course, the return of fan-favorites like golf and bowling. Instead of reinventing the wheel, this new, tropical-themed entry in the series builds on the groundwork laid by 2022’s Switch Sports. Of the 12 total activities in Switch Sports Resort, seven are directly from its predecessor. While Miis make a return as well, so too do Nintendo’s more modern and detailed Sportsmates avatars. However, instead of grinding online to earn Spocco Points to unlock new outfits and in-game items, you can now do so through both single-player and local multiplayer too. In addition to changing its look and layout, Nintendo has added new ways to explore Wuhu Island. While you can fly around the island in a prop plane, you can also do so by water on a jet ski or even on the ground with your skateboard. Although these various traversal methods provide a nice break from the action, I still wish we had some other new sports besides skateboarding, thumb wrestling and the warm-up game jump rope. We might see some additional sports and activities added in a future update, though. Having spent the past five days putting the game through its paces, Nintendo Switch Sports Resort is an absolute blast for both returning players and newcomers alike.

Earlier this year, AMD wouldn't commit to bringing FSR 4.1 support to handheld consoles, but surprise, surprise, the company just announced that its flagship scaling technology will be available on multiple platforms, including Xbox consoles. FSR, or FidelityFX Super Resolution, is AMD's version of NVIDIA DLSS or Intel's XeSS 3, both of which have been eating AMD's lunch in the last year. Basically, FSR renders the game you're playing at a lower resolution and then utilizes AI to generate a better image. Importantly, it makes the graphics card more efficient, meaning any savings can be put straight back into performance. It's a big step up over previous versions of FSR, which didn't use machine learning to optimize performance. With this update, AMD is partnering with Microsoft to bring FSR 4.1 not only to the Xbox Series X but also to the Series S and the Xbox Ally X and X20, both of which should benefit immensely from huge performance boosts.

I honestly haven’t been this excited about a new iPhone since the iPhone X nearly a decade ago. The iPhone Duo finally gives Apple fans a foldable phone, and there’s something really cool about having a 5.4-inch iPhone that transforms into a 7.6-inch mini tablet in your pocket, complete with dual-app multitasking. Finally! Apple’s first foldable phone doesn’t look or feel like a first attempt, either, because of the sheer attention to detail. The way the friction hinge holds nearly any angle. The seamless switching between the cover and main display with the same aspect ratio. And the nano-texture coating, which minimizes glare and the dreaded crease. I also like how the hardware and software play together, giving you several different modes. It feels like I’m playing with a $2,000 Transformer. On the other hand, the Duo name is apt because I’m of two minds about it. While the first wave of iPhone Duo apps look great, many third-party apps aren’t optimized for this form factor (yet). And then there’s the trade-offs versus the iPhone 18 Pro Max, such as the lack of a telephoto zoom and Face ID.

Earlier this year, the Federal Communications Commission banned new routers made outside the United States, including those from TP-Link, one of the most popular and makers of some of the best Wi-Fi routers currently available. In response, the company is looking to produce routers in the US. TP-Link announced Monday (Oct. 19) that it had signed a letter of intent with the Spokane-based Key Tronic. Pending legislative approval, TP-Link says that the partnership could see new routers produced at a factory in Mississippi as soon as next year. You could see TP-Link's Wi-Fi 8 routers sooner than expected. “This LOI with Key Tronic demonstrates our firm commitment to expanding domestic advanced manufacturing, and establishing America as our base for delivering secure, reliable connectivity solutions to households and businesses around the world,” said Jeffrey Chao, Chief Executive Officer of TP-Link Systems Inc., in a press release. Unfortunately, that may not guarantee that TP-Link can sell its American-made routers in the United States.
