Catching up on the Mission Impossible series to prep for the latest and the ‘Matrixifiction’ of Part 2 is absolutely hilarious. It’s every 90s action movie cliche dragged through slow-mo, complete with leather trench coats & sunglasses. Such a tonal shift from the series.
Rogue Nation (MI5) was solid AF! Rebecca Ferguson is PERFECTLY cast here as Ethan’s foil/potential interest. Of course, the ‘hanging off the plane’ stunt gets the obvious spotlight from most, but the tension of the opera house scene stole it for me.
