If anyone is interested, I am packing for a house move and have found around 10 new copies of the hardback version of my biography of Larry Grayson, which is now out of print, and impossible to get new online. I'd be happy to sign and personalise them for £20, plus £5-00 P&P.

I was thinking about the progression of comedy. We went from Max Miller to Eric & Ernie and Doddy, then Larry Grayson and Victoria Wood. How have we arrived at celebs famous for very little vomiting and retching as they try to eat a kangaroo's private parts. Well done everybody!

Just finished Shut That Door by @tonynicholson52 about Larry Grayson. A wonderful, touching book with some amazing stories. There’s something magical about those old pros, who learned their craft in clubs and small theatres.
My political thriller about the dangers of celebrity politics, A NEW MESSIAH, which is still hugely relevant with all that's going on in the world at the moment, has been turned into an Audible book, for those of you who have an account.

Just finished writing my latest book, The Golden Age Of Television, celebrating the best years of tv for entertainment, and explaining why it happened, and can't really happen again. Great days with #MorecambeAndWise , #TommyCooper #TheTwoRonnies , #MontyPython etc

Loved this book. I’ve known Laurie Mansfield for years and only wish he’d been my agent when I had my crack at television. @tonynicholson52 has done a fantastic job — highly recommended and I can’t wait to read more.

Had a brilliant day @RoyalCourtLiv on Sunday interviewing @tonynicholson52 and Lady Anne Dodd about the #KenDodd lost tapes and premiering clips from the new DVD. Brilliant line-up of singers and comedians including talented @sionedterry, @timothylucas12, Stephen Cookson and legendary Vince Earl of #Brookside fame. Thanks to @sam__avery for a great show!
