I like to believe C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkienâwhatever the religious differences that broke their friendship later in lifeâhave reconciled over their mutual, furnacelike hatred of Hollywood.

Replying to @torc
Rings of Power is nothing more than a modern grift off an imaginative IP so epic that the puerile writers of RoP donât deserve to dust its book jackets. Corporate slop at its most lukewarm.

"I came to J.R.R Tolkien's books at a very unusual time in my life. He changed many of us who passed through his world. And is the true mark of true power -- to make oneself felt so intensely and so pervasively and with such affection." ~ Roger Zelazny

Watched The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies for the podcast this week. Realized that the battle is actually a Diablo dungeon crawler: the heroes kill thousands of creeps until you meet up with the boss where 2 or 3 of your party actually dies.
