Tornado watch has been issued (no mention of strong tornadoes interestingly 🧐). Storm development has begun.. highest threat with a warm front/storm interactions but a moist layer up to 700mb may allow for too much convection to develop as well @TornadoCoaching @WxFront

SPC has outlined a Slight Risk (level 2/5) today from in/around the Minneapolis/St.Paul, MN, metro into northwest Wisconsin. A shortwave trough should track into the area this afternoon, which should be enough to initiate storms. However, a very narrow corridor of 60s dewpoints and skinny CAPE profiles cast some doubt on the persistence of robust, surface-based supercells. Still, strong low-level and deep-layer shear will be favorable for supercells posing a risk for a few tornadoes, along with isolated large hail/damaging winds. Storms may evolve into bowing segments as they move into Wisconsin.
