Don’t try to put modern day politics into a book from the past. It was another time which constituted another mindset. Instead learn from the past. Put yourself into the time that the book describe. Educate yourself about the positive and negative aspects and use that knowledge to better yourself and the world around you. #readingforpleasure #readmore #readingiseducation #booktwt

In 1997, I studied English at University. In 1998, I heard about the Lord of the Rings movies, and as a fan of the books, decided I had to work on it. I therefore pivoted my studies into the visual arts. In 2001 I graduated with an MA in Visual Effects and soon got a job in Jim Henson’s Creature Shop. In 2003, I applied for a job on Return of the King and got it! Working for the next many months in New Zealand, which spawned a 23 years career in #VFX . During Covid I bought a kindle which reignited my love of English Literature. In 2022, I bought strong reading glasses and got back into reading physical books. In 2025, I launched my X account, focusing on a love for reading and to connect with like minded reading enthusiasts. From books to film to books, life is certainly circular :-) #lifestory #LordOfTheRings #lordoftheringstrilogy #Tolkien #filmtwt #booktwt #LOTR
