DAWs allow you to make any kind of music. The possibilities are endless, yet people make the same genre, in the same key, at the same tempo, using the same rhythm and sound types, over and over again. I do not understand. How is that fun?
mainstage slop, quarter note slop, sustain bass slop, uk slop, all dubstep is slop. (I’m a slop enjoyer btw)
Have this idea that I’m stuck on because the drop is so sick and I just keep looping it instead of adding to it lmao. A good problem to have I guess.
Sound design vs song writing is such a dumb argument. Effective, not technical or complex, sound design is literally part of the song writing process. They go together. It’s like choosing to palm mute vs open strumming on a guitar.
Imo, the whole practice of sound design is to be focused on designing a sound that fits the tune/idea, whether it’s simple or complex, is it effective? It’s all one and the same, and to say the two are completely separate just makes no sense.
I wish a death note actually existed so we could just put all of the names from the files in it. Would be instant problem solved.

The killing of Alex Pretti is a heartbreaking tragedy. It should also be a wake-up call to every American, regardless of party, that many of our core values as a nation are increasingly under assault.
