Statement by Prime Minister Masrour Barzani
I warmly congratulate the elected Speaker, the Deputy Speaker and the Secretary of the sixth term of the Kurdistan Parliament.
I also congratulate the patriotic, hardworking, fearless and caring members of parliament of the Kurdistan Region for maintaining legitimacy and reactivating the Kurdistan Parliament.
Your decision today is loyalty to the sacrifice of the martyrs and the will of the voters. This step is the success of the will of the people of Kurdistan. Reconvening the parliament is a commitment to the implementation of the democratic process in our region.
I hope that in the coming days, other members of parliament will participate in parliamentary sessions and fulfill their legitimate national and moral duties and live up to the trust placed in them by their voters and fulfill the responsibilities entrusted to them.
I call on all parties to come forward for the sake of our national interests, together, to serve our people and homeland better, and protect our constitutional achievements.

We welcomed Mr. David Tafuri, President of the US-Kurdistan Business Council (USKBC), Ms. Treefa Ahmad, the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Representative to the United States, and their accompanying delegation, which comprised representatives from a significant number of American companies.
During the meeting, we discussed several important topics regarding mutual cooperation among companies and their desire to invest in the Kurdistan Region.
The President and members of the delegation expressed their pleasure and congratulated us on the unification and reorganization of the Kurdistan Peshmerga Forces, describing this step as an important historical achievement for the people of Kurdistan. Furthermore, they commended the historical role and military capabilities of the Peshmerga, stating: 'The Peshmerga force is the key factor in providing peace and stability for Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.'
