Well, well! After a year of silence, the intellectual brigade is back in Delhi for its annual three-month AQI vigil. Funny how they disappear when AQI drops below 50. Apparently, they don't follow pollution; they follow opportunities to demean India's capital.

IMPORTANT: One HUGE difference between June 2023, when the INDIA alliance was formed and the November 2026 Ramlila Maidan rally. The Congress is now firmly in the driver’s seat, with regional allies playing a supporting role. Equally significant, Rahul Gandhi has emerged as the principal face of the opposition, something that was far less evident three years ago. A political shift worth noting. 🙏
And she calls other Godi Media
About yesterday - #RamlilaMaidanRally
- Ramlila Maidan was packed to the rafters
- Clear endorsement of Rahul Gandhi’s leadership of the INDIA alliance.
- Unlike in the past, Congress was on the offensive, owning its attacks on the government.
- Good rally management, Seva Dal deserving special mention.
- Impressive cadre mobilisation across alliance partners.
- Unseen iter-party cadre camaraderie
- Launch of the Uttar Pradesh campaign.
- A more united, cohesive and organised Opposition.
Biggest achievement: not just mobilising, but energising and motivating the cadre for the battles ahead.

The chair in which Smt. Meira Kumar sat during today’s public impeachment proceedings against the CEC was once occupied by the first Prime Minister of India, Shri Jawaharlal Nehru, the great-grandfather of Shri Rahul Gandhi and Smt. Priyanka Gandhi.
It was Nehru Ji’s chair throughout his tenure as Prime Minister. It witnessed some of the most consequential decisions in our nation’s history and carries the weight of that legacy.
Today, in that very chair, invoking the spirit of Nehru Ji, Smt. Meira Kumar, former Speaker of the Lok Sabha, pronounced Gyanesh Kumar Gupta unfit to continue as the Chief Election Commissioner of India.
Gyanesh Kumar Gupta has been rejected by the people of India. It is only a matter of time before he goes.

First time in my bloodline witnessing a political spectacle of this kind — creating a replica of Parliament to stage a symbolic impeachment against the Chief Election Commissioner.
Parliamentary democracy is not a theatre, and constitutional accountability is not a street performance.
If the Opposition is invoking democracy and constitutional values today, one cannot help but recall the Emergency of 1975–77 under Indira Gandhi, when fundamental rights were suspended, press freedom was curtailed and democratic institutions were severely undermined.
Where was this level of symbolic outrage then?
Disagreement is democratic. But the dignity of constitutional institutions and parliamentary processes must be respected, regardless of who is in power.

🧵 THREAD | PART 3
Since June, protests in India’s capital have been reaching millions of people through Meta’s platforms. Instagram, in particular, has played a major role in pushing protest-related content onto people’s timelines, taking these protests to mobile screens across the country.
But how did this happen? Did Meta’s algorithm favour these accounts? Did the platform play a role in amplifying their reach? How did several newly launched media outlets and individual accounts gain hundreds of thousands of followers within just a few months? 1/

Human Online journalist Garima Singh has been receiving praise for her coverage of the Delhi protests.
But here’s what happened when I approached her using a fake email ID, offering her a project to create political reels for the SP ahead of the 2027 UP elections.
Garima quoted ₹12,000 for a single reel. She also acknowledged that she had previously made videos for the Trinamool Congress (TMC). 1/

Independent journalists are being widely praised for their coverage of the ongoing protests in Delhi. But what lies behind this carefully cultivated image of independence?
These journalists openly give protesters a platform, take their side during confrontations, and even obstruct police action. Their conduct during protests is there for everyone to see.
I decided to put some of these self-proclaimed independent journalists to the test. Using a fake email ID, I approached several of them with a proposal to create Instagram videos for the SP ahead of the 2027 UP elections.
What happened next? They responded with work samples and quoted their prices for producing political content. I’m sharing screenshots of the email replies I received from each of them as evidence.
Meet journalist Mamta Singh. You may have frequently seen her videos on the media outlet News Capsule. Mamta Singh quoted ₹40,000 for a single reel. 1/
