את בית הנבחרים יוביל חכים ג'פריס. את הסנאט ינהל צ'אק שומר. שניהם ידידים שלי, שניהם הצביעו השנה עם ישראל גם כשרוב הסיעה שלהם הצביע אחרת. הם בדיוק סוג המנהיגים שישראל אמורה לדעת לעבוד איתם, גם אם לא נסכים על כל דבר.
אין שאלה שהגרעין האנטי-ישראלי בבית הנבחרים גדל. יהיו שם קולות קיצוניים יותר, אבל גם אחרי הבחירות מדובר בכעשרים וחמישה חברי קונגרס מתוך 435.

הבעיה האמיתית היא לא הקיצונים.

את החברים שעדיין יש לנו צריך לחזק. את הגרעין הקשה צריך לבודד. כדי לבודד עשרה צריך מאה שיהיו בצד שלנו. את המאה האלה איבדנו. אותם אנחנו צריכים להחזיר.

Sorry, but the first two things Blinken lists — “alienate allies” and “appease autocrats” — were non-issues in the election. By contrast, U.S. support for Israel was front and center, and Blinken doesn’t even mention it.
The midterm results send a clear message: How we show up in the world affects our lives at home, and Americans understand that. When we alienate allies, appease autocrats, impose arbitrary tariffs, and drive needless conflict, American families pay the price. The Administration’s actions over the last two years have had real consequences for our security, our economy, and our everyday lives. Americans have spoken loud and clear. We should act on the message they're sending. A good place to start: a diplomatic resolution to President Trump's war of choice with Iran.

The elephant in the room here is the Ukraine proxy war. Since abandoning Obama's relative restraint and blaming Russia for Clinton's defeat in 2016, Democrats have become a pro-war party against Russia. So much so that progressives were shamed into abandoning their mild call for diplomacy in October 2022.
Trump capitalized on that in November 2024. JD Vance will absolutely try to do so again. Anyone committed to winning the antiwar vote will have to reckon with this. Being antiwar doesn't allow you to pick and choose the wars to oppose.

Democrats have the power to end the war in Iran. The only question is whether they will:
I agree that the reason Republicans lost is the Iran war. I would add the corruption epitomized by the Epstein cover up.
Here is what I propose:
1. Support a continuing resolution prohibiting the financing of any combat activities of the U.S. military in Iran. End the Iran war like we did for Vietnam.
2. Support the zeroing out of all aid to Israel in the continuing resolution.
3. Support Massie and my Epstein 2.0 Act to allow state attorney generals to prosecute the pedophiles who abused and trafficked young girls.
Will you actually now do any of these three things?
