I love the type of mappers which absorbs the past of mapping as thoroughly as no one, if only out of fear of inventing the already invented. This is why, btw, a mapper is regarded as being "ahead of his time," -- which keeps itself busy rehashing cliches.

Some, very rare mappers belong to the category of who have neither genealogy nor discernible "development." They are the kind of mappers that simply "happen"; which arrive in the editor with an already established, unique style and their own sensibility of mapping.
