Hello, I wanted to give a sneak peak for our new Valiant ADF.444-2 Pixie Custom. It will also include our first dual wield weapons that are 8cm revolvers! Game developers who plan to release a game on #Steam: the time for a build review displayed is completely outdated!
It used to be 3-5 days, but nowadays, it takes around 2 weeks for each round of review. You might need 4-6 weeks if have fixes to make. Plan accordingly!

JP indie game from 2019 called Shift Breaker. Look, I know the "I love spinning robots" thing sounds like a gimmick but let me be real. If you have a spinning robot in your mech game, you "get it". If your garage theme is jazz or new jack swing, you extra get it. You understand.

And none of the model in game is done by AI.
They are either handmade or photogrammetry.
I did use AI to write me some code segment and translation but no vibe coding is used.

食べ物がメインのゲームではありませんが、登場する食べ物を作り込んでみた。
ゲーム内に登場する食べ物は、実写動画や静止画よりも、CGで美味しそうに作り込んでくれた方がなぜか嬉しい。なので、自分ももっと作り込んでみます。

This has to be one of the worst AI disclosures I've come across in the sea of AI slop this Steam Next Fest.
"I'm an Indie dev so of course I have to obviously use AI to write the code of my game....." blah blah blah 🥱
Absolute slap in the face to every other Indie Dev putting in the work and developing their games with real skill and passion.
Learn the craft like all the others have! Make something with what you know and show players you can actually build a game. Earn that respect instead of just prompting AI to generate the code for you.
If you want to use AI, fine. But don’t sit here saying “obviously” it needs to be used just because you’re an indie. Don't give Indie's a bad rep just because you're too lazy to learn the craft yourself and do the full work.
Do better.

I made a userscript that hides AI-games on Steam from search, tags, wishlist. After Steam Next Fest drama.
Signed players can report games. Reports aggregated every hour into a list, and you choose how many reporters it takes before a game gets hidden.

I am a huge fan of steam (no secret), but this is genuinly impossible to find anything to play.
I scrolled for 10 minutes and found 1 single game. Most games are just copies of existing games but worse.
