The Trump administration routed roughly $500 million in Venezuelan oil proceeds through Qatar, under U.S. supervision.
One stated reason: keeping the money beyond the reach of creditors with court judgments.
Trump's executive order protected designated U.S. Treasury accounts. But what separately authorized the offshore account?
WHO LEGALLY CONTROLLED THE MONEY?
Who approved the withdrawals? Who audited the transactions?
The administration says the arrangement was temporary and necessary to stabilize Venezuela.
BUT WHO AUTHORIZED THE GOVERNMENT TO MOVE VENEZUELAN MONEY OFFSHORE TO KEEP IT OUT OF COURT?
TRUMP SAYS VENEZUELA PAID FOR THE IRAN WAR TEN TIMES OVER. WHERE'S THE MONEY?
In an October 30 Oval Office meeting, Trump claimed Venezuelan revenues had covered the Iran war's cost roughly tenfold.
He described the proceeds as hundreds of billions of dollars.
But PolitiFact previously found his claim of hundreds of billions in Venezuelan oil revenue false.
The best documented estimate available in August was approximately $13 BILLION IN GROSS REVENUE, not U.S. government profit.
Meanwhile, Pentagon estimates put the Iran war's cost above $47 BILLION through mid-October, according to The Washington Post.
The cumulative Venezuelan revenue through October 30 remains independently unverified.
If Venezuela paid for the war ten times over, show the accounting.
Gross oil revenue isn't profit. And a presidential claim isn't a financial statement.

Pennsylvania officials caught a scheme involving 10 forged mail-in ballot applications submitted by a woman from Idaho.
The best part? She was an independent contractor for Mobilize the Message, a conservative voter outreach operation founded by Republican strategist Cliff Maloney.
The system worked as designed. All 10 applications were flagged and rejected. No ballots were issued.
The irony? A Republican-aligned political operation caught up in an election-fraud investigation. Meanwhile, Scott Perry was already misrepresenting what actually happened.
Facts matter. Apparently, especially when Republicans are doing the explaining.

How the hell did this Administration allow a 28-year-old DOGE operative with zero government experience to take over USAID, fire thousands of federal employees, and shut down lifesaving aid programs around the world?
Not to mention that HR had zero record of him working there, he never completed his background paperwork to legally start working for the agency, and he didn’t even have an ID badge, because, officially, he didn’t exist as an employee.
And yet, all on his own, this man was given the go ahead to lock staff out of their own systems and use your taxpayer dollars to gut lifesaving programs with zero transparency.
The Trump Administration owes the American people and Congress answers. Who signed off on this? Why on earth was he given this kind of power?
This wasn’t an accident. Someone handed this man unchecked power, someone knew he wasn’t legally authorized to use it, and someone decided that there was nothing wrong with that.
Well, everything is wrong with that. Congress needs answers about this, and that is NOT optional.
