Just saw this surprisingly excellent 1975 short-film on writing good programs. Despite all the advances in computer language design, critical reading (and writing) skills remain mostly the same!

Dance Diffusion explicitly doesn't use copyrighted material to "honour the intellectual property of artists". Should we not afford the same respect to visual artists, even if they are less litigious?

ALT Screenshot of text: "Dance Diffusion is also built on datasets composed entirely of copyright-free and voluntarily provided music and audio samples. Because diffusion models are prone to memorization and overfitting, releasing a model trained on copyrighted data could potentially result in legal issues. In honoring the intellectual property of artists while also complying to the best of their ability with the often strict copyright standards of the music industry, keeping any kind of copyrighted material out of training data was a must."
Coming back from lunch with control theory, @WAptekar introducing linear systems. Ft. Eigenvalues, linear algebra, and puns #bangbangconwest
It was also super informative, I learned a bunch about how primitive values are stored in JavaScript! (Thanks Annie Cherkaev!)

This talk on how NaN works in JavaScript (and NaN boxing) has so many cats and it makes me so happy #bangbangconwest
The limitations are so extreme, everything is pre-programmed and there is very little energy or communication #bangbangconwest
First lightning talk from @AscendingNode about working on New Horizons @NASA, pretty amazing how starships work
.@arshia__ says I just don't follow enough people, but I'm not complaining @EvyKassirer
