Bitcoin (cash) is a publicly traded joint-stock syndicate central bank. People keep trying to use its stock as a currency, with predictable results. Stablecoins solve this.

P2P crypto on/off ramps are a solved problem - @vexl. No scammers, offers only from your social circles. If you dont have any, go to a local crypto meetup and make a few friends.

any serious project needs both: - user input checks on the frontend layer - data sanity checks on the DB layer DS proofs, weak blocks, better wallets, better defi designs - frontend layer solutions, happy paths 1 min blocks - DB layer solution, failure paths

ppl have fast block coins in their spending wallets to pay for stuff that requires confirmations. They are naturally going to use those coins also on 0 conf sites. Not BCH.

The problem stablecoin redemptions solve is this: JOHN owns 100 MUSD, and the current price is 0.95$, JOHN wants to get his promised 100$, not 95$. Here are better solutions than lowest collateral or lowest interest redemption mechanisms:

Notice the time based mechanism is similar to how traditional loans work and how bchbull/anyhedge works. Loans and options have usually some maturity period. Having loans that are free and time unlimited is too good to be true. Same as free and instant redemptions.

5. time based redemptions - let the loan takers pick a locking period of X days - they cannot close the loan (at all or without a penalty) sooner than ~X/2 days, but they also have redemption protection for X days in return. JOHN can put his 100 MUSD in a queue and wait.
162
3. longer sunset period for the next version - at least 1 year, eventually infinite. 4. liquidation queue - JOHN can put his 100 MUSD in a queue and wait.
112
2. make it easier to buy MUSD on the market. - currently there are ppl who would be happy to buy massive amounts of MUSD, pushing the peg back to 1:1, but the most you can buy on cauldron without some kind of limit orders or bots is about 10 MUSD now.
103
1. make the loans tradeable - JOHN now has additional option to maybe buy 100 MUSD loan and redeem it, if there is any for sale. In fact they might be sometimes sold even for a discount.

Bitcoin is not just a protocol. Protocols don't have paying customers (tx fees). Bitcoin is a service. Service is run by an individual or an organization. Stake holder voting is essential in preventing organization hijacking. Demonizing all voting and governance is dangerous.
A structural monopoly! @im_uname and @EmergentReasons discuss the dangerous influences of foundations and government-like structures in crypto. Bitcoin Cash has avoided that.

just because bitcoin/bch is designed in a way that there is no single point where governments can address their demands with a GUARANTEE of success, does not mean there are no channels through which they or any other entities seeking cooperation can ask nicely.

and yes that does mean that a partnership between paypal and bitcoin/bch is absolutely technically possible. (its not happening now or anytime soon, but because it makes little business sense for either party)
