Had a blast greeting the @txstatepta and @Plano_Schools students at the Texas Capitol this week! It was a joy to show them the Floor of the House of Representatives and engage with their thoughtful questions. 🌟 It’s always refreshing to see such enthusiasm for our legislative process from our future leaders! Thank you for visiting and for being active participants in shaping our future! #HD70 #TxLege

As a mom of 4, I found my voice in PTA. I was able to advocate for change at the local level and also build a strong community for my kids. Thank you @txstatepta, @LeanderISDPTA for always advocating for our public schools! #txlege #TXED #TXPTARally25 #advocateLikeAMother

We had a fun ❤️🖤 moment @txstatepta Rally Day! At Tan Parker’s office, two Marcus alumni working there noticed our ❤️🖤 attire. They came out to talk to our students, explain how these dedicated Marcus graduates became public servants. @Marcus_HS @loridrapp

A busy and productive statewide PTA Day! I welcomed the @txstatepta Board of Directors to our office, joined @friscoisd PTA families for lunch, and had @dentonisd and @LewisvilleISD stop by. Grateful for their commitment to Texas students and teachers! #txlege

Great to meet with @txstatepta and discuss the future of education in Texas! A special thank you to Ken Kuhl, a HD 97 constituent and Texas PTA Director-at-Large, for taking the time to visit and share insight on how we can best support students, parents, and teachers across our state. #txlege

Thanks to the students, teachers and parents from @RichardsonISD, @gisdnews and @dallasschools for coming to our office at your Capitol today! Our kids know it: we need to fully fund our public schools, and give teachers the long-overdue pay raise they deserve. #txlege

Replying to @HeathKeri @GaryVanDeaver
Many signs at the rally are opposing school vouchers. Rep. @GinaForAustin said public schools “have no more to give.”

Great having the Texas PTA visit the Capitol office today. Students from Wylie ISD and Plano ISD showed up to voice their concerns about school funding. I answered their questions, and then I had some of my own for them. Not only did they learn that schools are receiving an increase in funding, but that their Representative will test them on the knowledge of the bills that concern them. Phenomenal groups of students in HD-33! The speech and debate kids from Plano ISD left with a piece of my heart.

When I step out and see the band, cheerleaders, parents, teachers, and students united, I’m reminded: this is our community, and we must protect it. This isn’t just any ordinary legislative session — our institutions, especially public education, are under attack. It’s time to stand up. We need public education now more than ever. Thank you, @TxStatePTA, for inviting me to speak at the #TXPTARally25. #TXLege #SD16 #TxED
