People are getting offended for no reason. This is actually a call back moment. Let me break it down :-
In Civil War (2006), Scott met Steve and everyone around him called him Cap or Captain. So, he followed along.
Then, in Antman 2 Hope poked him about calling Steve Cap. Scott replied It was just how it was with everyone.
Then in Endgame, When Steve and Tony was arguing about losing the Tesseract, Scott Called him all - Cap, Captain, Steve, America, Rogers. And in the final battle Hope replied " On it Cap " to Steve's order. Scott saw that and felt proud.

Nikki is the films antagonist. Yes Bear is the villain but Nikki is the typical horror antagonist killer. Y'all love acting like she's real and like her backstory matters here it's just a skin in a videogame.
