Me and @LLovesWrestling didn’t doubt Kyle Dake for a SECOND after his match with MGL. 🫣
USA goes 1/3 in the semis, with Kyle Dake as our lone finalist today.
Don’t fret though, we have Bo Bassett and Kyle Snyder in the finals in less than an hour.
86KG Semifinals:
Ibrahim Kadiev (RUS) over Kyle Dake (USA) 6-3
Kyle Dake beats Kadiev and makes the finals‼️ he will take on Arseni Dzhioev (AZE)
70KG Semifinals:
Ibrahim Ibragimov (RUS) over Tulga Tumur Ochir (MGL) 3-2
Couldn’t tell you how this went, it was mostly the “Technical Difficulties” screen.
Ibragimov will take on Akmataliev (KGZ) in the finals.
70KG Semifinals:
Ernazar Akmataliev (KGZ) over Zain Retherford (USA) 3-2
Zain got 99% of the way to finishing his single leg three or four different times, but Akmataliev showcased some of the best defense I’ve ever seen. Zain will wrestle for bronze tomorrow.
125KG Semifinals:
Abdulla Kurbanov (RUS) over Giorgi Meshvildshvili (GEO) 5-0
Kurbanov will wrestle Amir Zare in tomorrow’s final.
Huge for Russia in the team race.
125KG Semifinals:
Amir Zare (IRI) over Wyatt Hendrickson (USA) 10-0
Wyatt Hendrickson will wrestle for bronze tomorrow.
61KG Semifinals:
Zavur Uguev (RUS) over Zelimkhan Abakarov (ALB) 3-0
61KG Semifinals:
Javan (IND) over Assyl Aitakyn (KAZ) 2-1
Marcus Blaze has been pulled into repechage.
86KG Quarterfinals:
Kyle Dake (USA) over Malik Shavaev (KGZ) 6-2
He moves on to the semifinals where he will wrestle a very good Ibrahim Kadiev (RUS)
70KG Quarterfinals:
Zain Retherford (USA) over Kanon Heybatov (AZE) 7-0
Zain will face Ernazar Akmataliev (KGZ) in the semis.
