Daniel Penny should never have been indicted in the first place. If you act like an idiot on a train full of people by threatening everyone, a hero should stop you. Why do Democrats love criminals so much that they put them on a pedestal above everyone else?

Governor, the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 gives the DOJ authority to investigate fraud, to investigate malfeasance by election officials, and to investigate fraud in the voter rolls. Their power is limited and defined, but they must investigate these specific instances of fraud. Deidre checks all the boxes. I don’t know who thought it was a good idea to have the Gov and LG oversee every aspect of their own election. Had Deidre allowed the legislative government operations committee to do their job, we would not be having this discussion. She lied. Cox lied. They colluded with the AGs office and the AGs lied to the court. They refuse to give any documents even when ordered by the court. They colluded with the media. And it appears they colluded with you and others of influence, like Mike Lee, Derek Brown, Rob Axson to facilitate the coverup. They colluded with the Speaker of the House, the President of the Senate. The colluded with Chief Justice Durant. It’s such a blatant criminal conspiracy. It’s an abomination. You should welcome the DOJ, acting within their jurisdiction to confirm what you claim - that the LG “conducts elections with integrity.” She doesn’t and neither did her predecessor. Utah will never recover from this until it is acknowledged. You could be a leader in helping Utah heal.

I dropped out of college in my early 20s because of a financial situation caused by my employer at the time, UnitedHealthcare. (Being in my early 20s, I had little money and drove around in a beater car. UnitedHealthcare told me I couldn't represent them in my junky car, so they insisted I buy a new car and claimed they would give me a $500 allowance every month to pay for the loan. I received that $500 exactly zero times.) Since I couldn't afford college, I spent my days in the library studying software engineering, and after a year, I got a programming job with Intel. In my 40s, I decided to go back and finish my degree. There were plenty of professors who tried their best to shove postmodernist Marxism down my throat, but by that age, I had developed an iron will and two birds that I used often. I have two related points in telling this story and one unrelated. The two related are: 1. You do not need college to be successful. I made just as much without a degree as I do with one. My children went to trade schools or taught themselves the same way I did, and are all successful at their chosen professions. 2. Most college programs I looked into are full of useless fluff that does nothing more for you than empty your wallet and guarantee you a large debt burden and a low-paying job. The unrelated point is that UnitedHealthcare sucks.
The Left went completely rabid over a viral clip of @SecDuffy telling his daughter that he would say "no" to her attending Harvard because elite universities are leftist indoctrination camps. His his oldest daughter, @evitaduffy_1, weighs in on what she experienced at the University of Chicago: “I feel like I was a better person coming out of UChicago, I was a stronger conservative, but I had a tough time... The harassment that I was getting for being a conservative at UChicago, specifically for opposing socialism on campus, was so intense—the death threats, the harassment, people saying I didn't deserve to vote, that I didn't deserve to be at the university, attacked my family and my appearance—it got so intense that David Axelrod, Obama's former chief advisor, had to step in and say, 'Hey, you should probably stop harassing this girl. It's having a chilling effect on free speech at the University of Chicago.' That's how bad it got.”

I had a conversation today with someone who claimed liberals are "better educated." No, when our education system is not measuring education, but rather compliance, getting a degree doesn't make you better educated. It makes you better indoctrinated.

Chandler is in heaven converting your ancestors to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Chandler Hendry and the Restored Truth: What the Mormon Apologist Actually Taught—and What the Bible Says Introduction Chandler Hendry’s death is not an occasion for celebration. It is an occasion for examination. A young husband is dead, a family is grieving, and there is nothing Christian about dancing on a grave simply because the man on the other side of it believed something you reject. Death has a way of stripping the paint off the scenery. Arguments that sounded clever on a livestream become awfully small when a heartbeat stops. Followers become mourners, debates become memories, and the man who was answering objections yesterday is suddenly standing beyond the reach of another earthly question. That ought to sober anybody who owns a Bible. But grief does not repeal truth, and compassion does not require Christians to pretend that doctrine suddenly ceased to matter because the man teaching it died. Hendry devoted an enormous amount of his public ministry to defending the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, challenging evangelical Christians, defending Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon, explaining LDS theology, conducting public discussions, and preparing young Mormon missionaries to answer Christian objections. He repeatedly encouraged people to examine competing claims, ask hard questions, test what they had inherited, and decide what deserved their faith. Taking him seriously therefore requires doing exactly that. We will examine the claims. That distinction matters because there are two equally foolish ways to handle a situation like this. One crowd turns a man’s death into ammunition and behaves as though somebody’s funeral is a theological touchdown. That is disgusting. Another crowd becomes so sentimental that suddenly everything he spent years teaching is placed behind yellow police tape with a sign reading, “Do Not Examine.” That is equally dishonest. A Christian does not need to hate Chandler Hendry to say Mormonism teaches another gospel. Paul did not write Galatians 1:8–9 because he hated religious people. He wrote it because souls were at stake. “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.” That verse does not contain a sympathy exemption. It does not say doctrine matters until the teacher becomes popular, young, sincere, likable, articulate, recently married, tragically killed, or surrounded by grieving friends. Truth is not cruel because tragedy occurred. Truth becomes more urgent because tragedy reminds us that every one of us has an appointment that cannot be rescheduled. “It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment” (Hebrews 9:27). And that is why this examination will stay where Hendry himself spent so much time: God, Christ, Scripture, revelation, salvation, baptism, authority, Joseph Smith, the Book of Mormon, apostles, exaltation, and the gospel. We are not going to invent beliefs for him. He left an enormous public record. He explained that human spirits existed before mortal birth, that the Father and Son are distinct beings, that the Father possesses a body, that additional revelation continues, that the Bible by itself is insufficient to settle critical doctrinal questions, that restored prophets are necessary, that baptism is necessary, that exaltation involves becoming like God, and that the Book of Mormon stands as a major reason for his confidence in God and the Restoration. He trained prospective missionaries in how to defend those propositions and how to lead people toward LDS commitments. So the question is not whether Chandler Hendry was sincere. The question is whether Chandler Hendry was right. A man can be sincere while sincerely wrong. A compass can be beautifully polished and still point south. When eternity is involved, sincerity is not the final court of appeal. The word of God is.

Galatians 1:8 🤣 In order to be relevant, you'd have to identify a difference between The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' idea of the gospel and the gospel contained in the New Testament, which you can't because they're identical. Also, Joseph Smith never claimed that an angel gave him the contents of the Book of Mormon. He claimed that God did. It's time for Protestants to stop acting like mindless Chatty Cathy dolls yanking on their Galatians 1:8 pull string.
Galatians 1:8 Is Not Tired - The Verse Mormon Apologetics Still Has to Answer Key Passage: Galatians 1:8–9 — “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.” Introduction Somebody told me Galatians 1:8 is “tired.” That is a remarkable complaint to make against a verse of Scripture. Apparently the verse has been working too many shifts. Somebody needs to give Paul a vacation, put the Holy Ghost on administrative leave, and inform God that His warning has exceeded the acceptable number of uses in Mormon discussions. The irony would be funny if the subject were not eternal. Galatians 1:8 is not tired. People are tired of having to answer it. There is a difference. A fire alarm does not become obsolete because the fellow sleeping under it is annoyed by the noise. A stop sign does not expire because you have passed it every morning for twenty years. And a biblical warning does not lose one ounce of authority because a religious system has spent nearly two centuries hearing Christians point to it. Paul did not write Galatians 1:8 for novelty. He wrote it because another gospel is damnably serious business. Then, apparently worried that some future religious salesman might pretend he missed the first warning, he repeated it in the next verse. “As we said before, so say I now again.” God did not whisper this one. And notice what Paul does not say. He does not say, “If somebody brings you a new gospel, compare personalities.” He does not say, “Ask whether the missionaries are polite.” He does not say, “Examine how wholesome their families look.” He does not say, “Count their temples, admire their charity work, inspect the shine on their shoes, and see whether they look sincere enough to trust.” Paul goes directly to doctrine. What gospel is being preached? That is the issue. And he deliberately sets the bar as high as language can set it: “though we, or an angel from heaven.” Paul places himself beneath the gospel already delivered. He places angelic messengers beneath it. He places later claims beneath it. He puts every supernatural experience, every testimony, every restored prophet, every shining being, every new book, every priesthood claim, every revelation, and every theological system beneath what God has already said. Paul does not fear the supernatural; he refuses to let the supernatural rewrite the gospel. That is why Galatians 1:8 is not merely relevant to Mormonism. It is tailor-made for testing any later movement claiming restored revelation, additional scripture, angelic involvement, new prophetic authority, or recovered gospel truth. The verse does not name Joseph Smith because Joseph Smith did not exist when Paul wrote. It does something stronger: it establishes a permanent rule before Joseph Smith arrives. The rule is simple enough for a child and sharp enough to cut through an apologetics department: if the later message produces another gospel, reject it, even if the messenger comes wrapped in supernatural credentials. That means the question is not whether Mormon apologists are tired of hearing Galatians 1:8. The question is whether Mormonism preaches the same gospel Paul preached. If it does, demonstrate it. If it does not, complaints about how often the verse has been used are just theological earplugs. 1. Paul Repeated It Because God Wanted the Warning Heard The first thing that ought to embarrass anybody calling Galatians 1:8 “overused” is that Paul himself immediately repeats it. Verse 8 says, “let him be accursed.” Verse 9 says, “As we said before, so say I now again.” Evidently repetition was not beneath apostolic dignity. Evidently Paul did not believe a warning loses force after one use. Evidently the Holy Ghost thought the danger was serious enough to drive the

Exactly 40 years ago this month, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints published an article in the Liahona magazine (then called Seito no Michi, meaning "Way of the Saints") about my wife's baptism into the church. Today, they published another article about her. It's focused on parents and the struggles they sometimes go through with their children. Interesting timing. churchofjesuschrist.org/stud…
