BREAKING: 🇵🇾 What just happened in PARAGUAY is a WARNING for everyone on earth. More than 3 million people (60% of Paraguay's adult population) have lost access to EVERYTHING. Their bank accounts. Their pensions. Frozen. Inaccessible. Paraguay’s largest digital bank, Ueno Bank, has collapsed. The president of the Central Bank (who is deeply connected to Ueno) has just RESIGNED. Eight high-level executives including the founder and the Bank President are being detained. The people have taken to the streets to demand their money back. And rightly so. This is the model Milei and the rest of the Epstein class are pushing. This could happen ANYWHERE. Best to save in physical gold and physical silver, imo.

WOOOOW!
Where Billionaires Are Common, Poverty Is Rare. But Correlation Is Not Causation. This is a fascinating chart because it challenges the popular narrative that the existence of billionaires necessarily comes at the expense of ordinary citizens, showing instead that countries with higher concentrations of billionaires tend to have substantially smaller proportions of their populations living below US$30 per day in purchasing-power-adjusted terms. Across 64 countries, the relationship is statistically significant, with an R² of approximately 0.58, suggesting that billionaire density is strongly associated with broader economic prosperity, although the remaining variation is substantial and the relationship itself tells us very little about the direction of causality. Switzerland, the United States and several advanced European economies have relatively high concentrations of billionaires alongside comparatively prosperous populations, while countries such as Indonesia, India, Nigeria and the Philippines have relatively few billionaires per capita and much larger populations living below the US$30 threshold. However, I would be careful about interpreting this as evidence that billionaires themselves reduce poverty, because the more plausible explanation is that wealthy societies tend to produce both more billionaires and more prosperous ordinary citizens through the same underlying economic mechanisms. Countries with strong institutions, deep capital markets, high productivity, competitive industries, technological innovation and reliable property rights are generally better positioned to generate substantial private fortunes while simultaneously supporting higher wages, greater employment opportunities and stronger household purchasing power. In that sense, the number of billionaires may be less a direct cause of prosperity than an imperfect indicator of the economic environment that allows businesses to scale, capital to accumulate and productivity gains to spread throughout society. I think the distinction is particularly relevant for Indonesia because the country has produced several enormously wealthy business families without achieving the same degree of broad-based prosperity observed in more developed economies, which raises an important question about whether private wealth accumulation is primarily being driven by productivity improvements and competitive innovation, or by ownership of scarce assets, market concentration, regulatory privileges and access to natural resources. There is nothing inherently wrong with substantial private wealth, particularly when fortunes are created through productive investment, innovation and employment generation, but the economic implications are very different when wealth is accumulated primarily through control over existing assets rather than the creation of new productive capacity. A country can produce extraordinarily wealthy individuals without building a correspondingly prosperous middle class, particularly when productivity growth is weak, economic opportunities remain concentrated and the benefits of development are distributed unevenly. There is also an important methodological qualification because US$30 per day in 2021 purchasing-power-adjusted dollars is not the World Bank's official extreme-poverty threshold, which currently stands at US$3 per day, but rather a much higher standard that captures the extent to which populations have achieved a relatively comfortable level of material prosperity. This explains why countries that have substantially reduced extreme poverty can still have 80% to 90% of their populations below the threshold shown in the chart, while comparisons are further complicated by the use of income surveys in some countries and consumption surveys in others, as well as differences in the timing of the underlying observations. Consequently, I would interpret the chart as a comparison of broad-based prosperity rather than conventional poverty, and billionaire density should certainly not be confused with a direct measure of income inequality. The deeper economic lesson, in my view, is that wealth creation and wealth distribution are not inherently opposing objectives, but neither does success in one guarantee success in the other. A well-functioning market economy should encourage entrepreneurship, capital formation and innovation because these activities expand productive capacity, while effective competition, human-capital development, infrastructure and institutional quality determine how widely the benefits are shared. Conversely, an economy dominated by entrenched incumbents and protected monopolies may generate concentrated private wealth without delivering comparable improvements in productivity or household incomes, even when aggregate GDP continues expanding. The objective of economic development should never be to maximize or minimize the number of billionaires, but to maximize the productive opportunities and living standards of the broader population. If a country generates more billionaires because businesses are innovating, productivity is rising and millions of households are becoming more prosperous, that is a fundamentally different outcome from creating billionaires through economic rents while ordinary citizens struggle to improve their living standards. The real measure of a successful economy is not how wealthy its richest citizens become, but how effectively it creates opportunities for everyone else to become wealthier. Klarifikasi sumber (biar akurat, bukan “asal sebut”) 🤣 🔹️Panama Papers (2016) = Mossack Fonseca. 🔹️Paradise Papers (2017) = Appleby, dkk. Pandora Papers (2021) = 14 penyedia offshore. Mengubah data kebocoran jadi target MLA (tanpa meja bundar) 1) Kurasi target prioritas (T-14 hari): Match & enrich data ICIJ (Panama/Paradise/Pandora) dengan AEOI, SPT, beneficial ownership dan banking footprints; fokus: nilai > Rp1T, paper trail kuat, yurisdiksi ramah-MLA (Swiss, BVI, Bermuda, SG). 2) Siapkan case file standar dual-criminality (T-30 hari): Paket bukti: aliran dana → predicate crime (korupsi/TPPU/penipuan pajak), struktur nominee, dokumen korporasi. Pemetaan respon publik/kontra-litigasi tiap target. 3) Eksekusi provisional seizure + repatriation (T-90 hari): Kirim permintaan MLA ke otoritas Swiss & yurisdiksi terkait; paralel asset freezing lalu repatriation via BI, FX sterilization untuk hindari gejolak kurs. Komunikasi publik terukur agar melumpuhkan lobi balik. 4) Gelombang 2–3 (roll-up): Setelah preseden pertama sukses, lanjutkan ke daftar nama tingkat risiko politik lebih tinggi. Risiko & mitigasi (tanpa tabel, langsung to the point) Serangan politik/oligarki → war room hukum-diplomasi, framing “pemulangan kekayaan rakyat”, dukungan G20 ACWG untuk tekanan lintas negara. Litigasi internasional berlarut → kontrak firma asset recovery dengan success fee, gunakan preseden non-conviction based forfeiture bila perlu.
