Congratulations to Bukayo Saka for winning the Socrates Award at the Ballon d’Or awards.
The Nandos sauce was lovely. Fully deserved. 👏
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The Sócrates Award is an annual association football award presented during the Ballon d'Or ceremony to recognize the best humanitarian and social work carried out by a footballer worldwide. Nothing to do with Sauce.

Totally missing the point. If you were an actual big club, you’d have thousands of people who don’t have season tickets and don’t have regular access AND tourists desperate to finally get into a game.
Big clubs don’t need the same small group paying for every game.
Just listened to @themagic_tophat on the @LatteFirm pod . Excellent pod , well explained 👏🏿

To the average Arab man, a chicken is more important than a black African — my conversation with @SaharaReporters on the ills of irregular migration to Europe through the Sahara Desert and the Mediterranean Sea.
😀😀😀when you submit audited accounts to hmrc they are meant to be done with intergrity and truth submitting fraudulent accounts is a Breach 😀😀😀
🚨 | One of the strangest arguments being thrown around is the tax analogy.
If #ManCity had genuinely inflated sponsorship revenue, that would generally mean declaring MORE income, not less – potentially increasing taxable profit, not reducing it.
The actual dispute is over who funded the sponsorships, how they were classified, and what they were worth. Turning that into “City dodged tax” is simply illogical.

Shouldn’t be surprised at this point but absolutely amazed by the fact that there are people on this app that think they genuinely know more than the legal team of the premier league as well as the independent commission. You’re a roofer for a reason Dan, stick to what you know and let the professionals deal with your team.

I’ve been hearing reports from multiple sources that the Man City #115 decision was issued to parties in July, consistent with the reporting from @HandofArsenal earlier this summer.
If so, then I see two likely possibilities:
1) The sanctions hearing has already been heard and the Final Award is imminent. The PL shared the state of play with clubs as a heads up because it’s coming out so soon anyway.
2) Man City sought to slow everything down with a mid-process appeal, meaning it would stay behind closed doors for many months… maybe until next summer. And the PL effectively “leaked it” because they couldn’t handle the ongoing pressure.

The evil red cartel introduced financial regulation in 2013 to protect their position and it led them going from winning 76% of titles to 23% of titles since. What a master plan
