Compound that with the fact that I don't want to change my lifestyle and it makes it doubly hard. I can't start over from scratch on a new career path and expect to make anywhere near as much money as I'm making now.

HELLO INTERNET. I'm in need of an NVR that does not suck. I've attempted to install zoneminder, shinobi, and motioneye. None are adequate - zoneminder is the best 2001 had to offer, shinobi is riddled with curl | bash shit, and motioneye is a python2.7 nightmare.
