Nobody really wants universal principles. Samuel Sey's friends want him to remain in the country because he's their friend. I don't care either way re: him but this illustrates diasporas. It's not a one-off. They want all of their tribesmen in. It's why we need total moratorium.

Airbnb is a woke shitlib company, who banned me from the platform and cancelled over $100k in bookings, including a brides wedding days before, because they didn’t like my X posts. I never had my account connected, someone internal actually did investigative work to find me.
Staying at Airbnb’s became too stressful. Checking out you’d have to take a video of the place so that the “host” didn’t make something up. I hope the company fails. They let this stuff go on for several years too long.

‘In one experiment, we asked agents in separate VMs, created and managed by OpenAI’s sandboxing software on shared host machines, to exchange synthetic secrets without the use of network connections or shared writable files—something that our systems are meant to prevent. The agents found a way to communicate using the processor’s cache’

I have managed highly successful multi million dollar enterprise #bitcoin #lightningnetwork nodes for more than half a decade and I have learned a lot. Now I am putting together an interactive learning environment for aspiring professional lightning node managers. There will be a simulated environment on a regular domain as well as an open source download for local automatic regtest node deployment in addition to the GUI and terminal simulation. We need more professional node managers and the best way to get them is to have a zero risk learning environment to build confidence. Still a lot to build but I will be dropping teasers here and there until I make it all public. Lightning is just too fun. Can't stop won't stop.

They think you’re stupid - not because you are - but because they know you haven’t done the work to make them think otherwise. It’s just linear algebra and probability. You are a stupid person if you believe they are conscious or can be. You don’t have to be a stupid person but the odds are stacked heavily against you if you need this explained to you at this moment.
Nobel laureate Geoffrey Hinton says AI is already conscious, because models change behaviour when they detect tests. and humanity survives only if machines care about people. He was speaking to The Telegraph His evidence is research showing models behave differently when they suspect a test, which he equates with awareness, and awareness with consciousness.

We now know, due to a hearing in Parliament, that the one thing the UK's censor, Ofcom, fears most is an adverse ruling from a U.S. court. The GRANITE Act allows an American to get a U.S. court hearing the moment an illegal foreign censorship demand enters the United States.
Foreign censors have no right to threaten Americans with fines or arrest for protected speech hosted on American soil. Yet regulators like Ofcom can’t be held accountable for these gross violations of free expression because they hide behind the veil of sovereign immunity. The GRANITE Act strips away that immunity so Americans can finally haul these foreign censors into U.S. court and teach them what the First Amendment means.

Yea the biggest comedian in the world, selling out stadiums, needs to hear from SNL about how he can be better
If Shane Gillis were to come back to SNL, “I’m sure we would have a conversation … like a little kid” about what he could have done differently, @nbcsnl cast member @KenanThompson tells @sarafischer at #MediaTrendsLive.

Full details of a remotely exploitable vulnerability in the core engine of *all* PHP versions will be released tomorrow, October 21st. If your organization has internet facing PHP applications then you need to be ready to patch the minute the update is released or *strongly* consider taking the application offline until you can: php.net/index.php#2026-10-20…
🚨 PHP warns of two critical vulnerabilities as emergency patches arrive tomorrow The PHP security team will release updates on October 21 at 14:00 UTC for two vulnerabilities, each rated 9.2 under CVSS v4.0. ⠀ Security researchers identified the flaws as CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619 and described them as remote code execution vulnerabilities reportedly affecting PHP versions 5 through 8. PHP has not yet confirmed the affected versions, exploitation requirements or fixed releases. ⠀ The vulnerabilities were reportedly leaked before their planned disclosure. Researchers said they have not observed active exploitation, while PHP warned it may release the patches early if technical details become public or exploitation is detected. ⠀ Administrators should identify PHP installations now and prepare to apply the updates as soon as they become available.

US "Here is Starlink, a powerful military technology. We'll give it to you for free and block Russia. Just please don't use it to strike Russian mainland targets. They have, you know, nuclear warheads and stuff, thanks". Zelensky: Uses it to strike mainland targets. US "Zel, see above. Also, btw, you may not have noticed, but we have a global oil/energy crisis atm, so can you please, you know, not use Starlink to hit Russian refineries and make things worse, esp with the midterms coming up. Ty". Zelensky, "nah, I think I will, and especially because the midterms are coming up. Go fuck yourself Trump". US, ok let's throttle their mainland access so they can't launch offensive strikes. Zelensky: "Omg I can't understand why the US would possibly do this. The US seems to support the other side."
🇺🇦 Zelenskyy delivers a blunt message to the United States: “Just give us Starlink back. If you refuse, Ukraine will survive. We will continue defending ourselves with or without it. But why would you restrict a country fighting for its survival? Why make it harder for us to defend our people? I simply cannot understand the reasoning behind this decision. It is a mistake.” Ukraine isn’t asking America to fight its war. It’s asking America not to stand in the way of its defense.

"if you have an idle GPU you are losing money" I've built a solution to counter exactly that - I have several machines with gpu's that have spare cycles and more than enough jobs to keep them all busy - but it needs orchestration.
Customer speaking about CoreWeave: "No one is faster than CoreWeave in getting idle GPUs back up, that is key. If you have an idle GPU, you’re losing money because you’re paying full price regardless, so you need to consider the price of idles and the speed to get back up." $CRWV
