🏒 10/13 Recap: ❌ Canucks ML +180 0-1 -1.0u 📉 Our model made it’s first NHL pick of the season yesterday, but unfortunately went down by a goal in the 3rd. Excited to get going!

🚨 The NHL is back in action tonight! Last NHL season we finished +38u at +7.1% ROI. We were on FIRE in the first half of the season, hit a tough patch at the end of January and then bounced around flat after the Olympic break. As a reminder, we'll need to gather ~10 days of data before our model begins making any picks. Let's have another great season!

With the MLB regular season ending yesterday, posting a quick recap of our season. This was by far our most challenging season to date, and our first ever unprofitable season (-33.6u). After coming out of the gates red hot in April, the wheels quickly fell off. From the end of April through mid June we could not cash a play to save our lives, and we spent the remainder of the season treading water. It felt like we were constantly on the wrong end of late inning drama and found some truly insane ways to lose, but that is all part of gambling. While this was a truly painful season, I'm hopeful we'll be able to return to steady profitability next year as we have the previous three seasons. I appreciate all of your support, but you deserve better. I'll be spending the offseason digging into the data and looking for ways to improve our modeling heading into next season. For now, on to NHL! Will be back tomorrow with a quick season kickoff note.
