Simplify Gmail v3 just launched and is a HUGE upgrade. Here is an overview: youtube.com/watch?v=CM5hVyzR…

Sneak peak of Simplify Gmail v3 Try it now on Chrome: beta.simpl.fyi -- launching to all users and all browsers by the end of 2023.

On track to launch Simplify Gmail v3 to all browsers and all users by end of the year. It is embarrassing how long v3 has been in beta / development but I hope it was all worth the wait. It is turning out to be a much bigger update than Simplify v2! Here is all that remains:

Simplify Gmail v3.0.53 is live (beta.simpl.fyi). It is a BIG update. Along with a bunch of small improvements and fixes is a total overhaul of Simplify Options bringing several new features. Full change log here: docs.google.com/document/d/1…

Candidate for most annoying Gmail/browser/Simplify issue of 2023: Gmail started using a non-breaking space instead of a space in some places in thread dates. Safari won't create a date with those spaces which broke date grouping. 😖😖😖 Fix uploading now...

Simplify Mastodon: a free extension that makes Mastodon's web app a little more pleasant to use. chrome.google.com/webstore/d…

Rolling out now: Improvement to the app bar toggle and inbox zero backgrounds are now applied in ALL non-image themes (they used to only be applied in the default and dark theme).

You can basically still have the third one with the soft gray theme.

Bonus: Labels were necessity when Gmail originally launched due to conversation threading (a thread can be in multiple places at once time because the emails in the thread can be in multiple places). And I still think Gmail handles search & labels wrong: youtube.com/watch?v=CPTcZKcF…
