Bottles has over 3 million installs, but donations average just €100/month, not even enough to cover our server infra 😭 Bottles Next is moving forward, but we need support to keep it alive and growing 🙈 usebottles.com/posts/2025-07… Please, help us 🙏 #opensource #windows #linux

Tomorrow will be possible to try Raven, the alternative approach to wine 🍷
Tomorrow I will publish the website with proper instructions and source code so that I have time to follow everything. Good night good people 🤟 As a tip it’s 8;28 Pm here in Italy.

I am making a website for Raven :3
Raven runs Windows apps on Linux, but not the Wine way 👀
While Wine translates Windows into Linux, Raven gives apps a Windows they recognize: real MSI installs, WinSxS, .NET 2.0 to 4.8, DirectX redists, and a snapshot before every install so nothing breaks your prefix. Google Chrome, Steam (with the Unturned game installed and testes), Notepad++ and KeePass already works out of the box 🤟 I promise (because I already got at that point) better performance and out of the box experience. No hacking around with winetricks and similar tools. #Windows #Linux #OpenSource

Raven is another way of running Windows apps on Linux and MacOS. No VM no Wine.

👀 well not wine is getting an alternative.
I should have explained it better. I am mot cloning Paint.NET. I am trying to make it work on my own Windows emulator. I am using it to run, check what is missing and then implement it. Not based on wine. 🍷👀 #Linux #Windows #OpenSource

Want to test Office 365 on Linux?
Update on the status of Office 365 on Linux via Soda (wine). I am fixing all the issues reported by the good people that are helping me testing it. We got the 26th build of Soda 11.0 which includes ton of fixes to authentication, UI rendering, WinRT and COM compatibility, process handling, plus the new Eagle debugger to help track down the remaining bugs and... more criptical stuff 💀 There are still many issues to be fixed but it's starting to be stable, not like the way you can daily drive it, there are still some critical bugs that you can read about in the post I link at the bottom, I mean it stopped breaking in random ways like it used to months ago (because Microsoft things are just... random). I need more time, more research, more development, it is not like tomorrow we can all run Office 365 on Linux easily but we are going that way 😎 especially thanks to all the users who are helping me testing and well, donating, because I actually have to invest time on this thing, so... thanks <3 Want to test? Help? Read about it? Here: github.com/bottlesdevs/progr… Want to support? Here: usebottles.com/funding And thanks Microsoft for your huge help /jk #Linux #Windws #Office #Development #Microsoft

Office 365 on Linux, now with better authentication flow 🤌🏻
Microsoft 365 login on Linux now works using your system browser! I made a new Soda Identity Bridge which connects Office to Bottles, handles the login outside Wine and stores it in your system keyring 😎✌️ Available in Soda 11.0-23. Want to try Office 365 on Linux? You can now test Office 365 on Linux 😎
It is now possible to test Office 365 on Linux via Soda 11.0-17 and Bottles! BUT, please read here before doing it: this was a long-run work, tested only on my laptop. It's a work that touches wine, DLLs, scripts, wrappers, Bottles and many many other stuff, so please be careful, It is far more likely that it won't work than the opposite. Report issues the proper way as explained in the following link, to help me fix this ~15 years old issue <3 github.com/bottlesdevs/progr… #Linux #Windows

It's just an installer in Bottles, really easy 😎 PS. you could see some pieces are already online but they will not work out of box, just wait for my announcement and guide <3 PPS. Yes I switcher to light mode, that's why the last screenshot is white :D #Windows #Linux #Wine #Bottles #OpenSource #Microsoft

Progressing with Microsoft Office 365 on Linux using Soda 11.0-11 via Bottles 67.4 (cpak). Outlook finally works! Well, there are still some weird glitches like for some reason the smile, reply, reply to all and forward buttons are like if they were made in MS Paint but... yeah 🫠 Once more, as I said, Soda 11.0-11 will do great things, be ready 🫶 #Windows #Linux #Wine #Bottles #OpenSource #Microsoft
