Mr Peter Obi has been in 12 states for campaign activities, 8 states more than the other two candidates put together. The job of being president requires energy, vitality, zest and vigor. Can we call this contest over already.

*OPEN REPLY TO THE DELTA STATE POLICE COMMAND AND THE DELTA STATE GOVERNMENT ON THE ASABA KILLING* We have read with pain and anger, the statements by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, and the Commissioner for Works and Public Information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu, on the killing of one person and injuring of five others along Nnebisi Road, Asaba on Saturday during a peaceful procession by the Obidient/OK Movement in support of Mr. Peter Obi. We condemn the killing. But we reject the attempt to blame the victims for their own murder. Let us be clear: *This was not a coincidence. This was not a mere "clash." This was a conceived action plan.* *1. A Conceived Plan To Attack, Harm And Silence The Opposition* What happened in Asaba is part of a deliberate, well-planned strategy to continuously attack opposition parties, expose them to harm, and then use that same violence as an excuse to declare " *no street rally."* The pattern is now too clear to ignore: First, deny the opposition access to public facilities — stadiums, fields, halls, schools town halls, etc. Second, when they are forced to use the road, which is their constitutional right, allow thugs to attack them. Third, after the attack, the Police and Government will come out to say "we warned them" and "they should have used a designated venue." Fourth, use the bloodshed as justification to ban opposition rallies altogether. *That is the plan. Attack them, blame them, then ban them.* The ultimate goal is not peace. The ultimate goal is to use state power to bar the NDC and other opposition parties from campaigning in Delta State, while the APC campaigns freely everywhere. We see it. Deltans see it. Nigerians see it. *2. If you had intelligence, what did you do with it?* The Police said they received intelligence suggesting a likelihood of violence before the procession. They said they invited the organisers and advised them to cancel. That is not policing. That is abdication. If you had credible intelligence that an attack was being planned, your duty under the Police Act and the Constitution was to: - Identify the planners, - Arrest and interrogate them, - Deploy men to protect the procession, - Secure the route, - And prevent the attack. Why was no one arrested BEFORE the attack? Why was no suspect picked up? Why did you wait until after one Nigerian was killed and five injured, to now say investigations are ongoing? Intelligence without action is useless. If you knew, why did you allow the killers to strike? Or was the intelligence itself part of the plan to warn the victims, not the attackers? *3. Why is the security report always negative only when it is the opposition?* Whenever the NDC, Obidient Movement, or any opposition party wants to hold a rally, suddenly there is a "security threat." Suddenly the Police advise them to cancel or go to a "designated venue." But when the APC holds its rallies, road shows, and open street processions in Asaba, Warri, Ughelli and other towns, there is never a security threat. There is never a warning. There is never a police advice to cancel. Is violence only possible when the opposition gathers? Is APC immune to security threats in Delta State? If the Police are truly neutral, let them publish the security reports for APC rallies in the last six months. Let Deltans see if the same warnings were given.Until then, this looks like selective policing to suppress the opposition.
DELTA STATE POLICE COMMAND PRESS RELEASE DELTA STATE POLICE COMMAND PRESS RELEASE CLASH AT A POLITICAL RALLY ORGANIZED BY OBEDIENT/OK MOVEMENT IN SUPPORT OF PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE OF NDC IN ASABA: POLICE COMMENCE INVESTIGATION, ADVISE POLITICAL PARTIES/SUPPORTERS AGAINST ROAD PROCESSIONS The Delta State Police Command has commenced a full-scale investigation into a violent incident involving supporters during a political rally organised by the Obedient/OK movement in support of the presidential candidate of Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Asaba on Saturday, 7th November 2026, which resulted in the death of one person and injuries to five others. 2. Prior to the rally, the Command received an intelligence report indicating the likelihood of violence and consequently invited the organisers to a security meeting. During the engagement, they were briefed on the identified security threats and advised against holding an open road procession. They were further encouraged to conduct their political activities at a designated venue where appropriate security will be provided for them. However, the organisers ignored this important security advice and proceeded with the road procession. 3. At about 1215hrs, a violent incident occurred along Nnebisi Road, Asaba, during which one person lost his life and five others sustained injuries. The identities of the victims are yet to be ascertained. Upon receiving a distress call, police operatives mobilised to the scene and took the injured victims to the hospital for medical attention. Security was subsequently reinforced in the affected area to forestall further breakdown of law and order, while investigations are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and identify those responsible. 4. The Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command, CP Samuel E. Erale, psc, mnips, condemns the violence and reiterates that political parties are free to conduct lawful campaigns and other political activities. He, however, advises all political parties and their supporters to avoid road processions in the interest of public safety and to liaise with the Police ahead of any political gatherings to facilitate adequate security arrangements. The CP assures residents of Delta State of the Command's commitment to a thorough and impartial investigation and urge anyone with useful information to contact the Command through the following phone numbers; 09155570008 or 09155570007. The greatest paradigm shift will happen in Nigeria when peter obi wins.. Obi's presidency will usher in politics of discussing issues and not people, transparency, accountability, and an available leader. Nigerians, come out and defend your votes. APC came to steal and kill.

Arise TV's Rufai Oseni responds to Yusuf Datti on his disparaging comments on Peter Obi by reading out quotes of Datti's own words about Peter Obi. Rufai read, "Long before I became Peter Obi's political associate, I used to admire him for his conservative life and humility. Do you know that Peter Obi is a very successful businessman? Although he doesn't say it or show it, he ranks amongst the best in the country. Unlike other contestants who depends on politics for survival, politics never made Obi. His business and investments made him." Listen to this...

I am profoundly saddened and deeply disturbed by reports of violence directed at members and coordinators of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) and the Obidient Movement in Delta State. I unequivocally condemn the attacks against our coordinators, supporters, and fellow citizens who were merely exercising their democratic rights. Political violence has no place in a democracy and can never be justified. No political aspiration is worth the life of a Nigerian, and no dispute should be resolved through intimidation, physical attacks, or the destruction of property. It is particularly troubling that, at a time when Nigeria urgently needs responsible leadership, some individuals continue to believe that political influence can be secured through thuggery, fear, and violence. Political authority should be attained through persuasion and the trust of the people, not by intimidating opponents. I urge the Government and the security agencies to conduct an immediate and thorough investigation into these attacks, identify those responsible, and ensure that they face justice, irrespective of their political affiliations. The safety and security of our members must be assured. We will not be intimidated or silenced, nor will we relinquish our democratic space to violence. Our response will remain peaceful, lawful, and determined. Nigeria belongs to every one of us. No political party or individual has exclusive ownership of the democratic space. Every Nigerian is entitled to organise, gather, express their views, and freely elect their leaders. Our nation needs constructive ideas rather than intimidation, responsible leadership rather than thuggery, and democratic contest rather than political violence. I stand in solidarity with everyone affected in Delta State. A New Nigeria must be founded on justice, liberty, peace, and respect for the dignity of every citizen. May God bless Delta State and the Federal Republic of Nigeria. -PO

Lmao According to Amnesty International, a total of 9,526 people were killed specifically within the Middle Belt states in just the first two years of this same BAT’s government. Over 150 of your people were slaughtered & the same man asked your leaders to bring the relatives of the victims to the airport & told them “he cannot stay with them for long before they don’t have light at the airport” But it’s the same man “your elders” want? Oya now 👏
Our elders have spoken, we have listened, and the Middle Belt is ready for action! I vividly recall when our respected Middle Belt elders reached out to me in Dubai ahead of the 2023 general election, asking me to mobilise our people in support of His Excellency, Peter Obi. They considered my experience in comradeship, activism, advocacy and mobilisation, and believed I had what it would take to rally our people behind the movement. Without hesitation, I abandoned everything and committed myself wholeheartedly to the assignment. We set targets, mobilised our people across the Middle Belt and worked tirelessly for the Labour Party. The result was a massive show of support for Peter Obi in the region. Today, history has presented us with another defining moment. Despite the overwhelming support the Middle Belt gave Peter Obi and the opposition in 2023, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu did not turn his back on our region. He did not write off our people or ignore the Middle Belt. Instead, he recognised the region, created opportunities and demonstrated that the Middle Belt remains an important part of Nigeria’s political and national development. The recent meeting between President Tinubu and prominent Middle Belt leaders, including General Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma, is another significant moment in our political journey. It demonstrates the importance of dialogue, engagement and collective leadership in determining the future of our region. I have also had the privilege of joining other youth leaders from the Middle Belt in meeting with Seyi Tinubu. This engagement further reinforces the importance of building bridges between generations, strengthening relationships and ensuring that the voices, aspirations and concerns of our young people are heard at the highest levels. When elders of this standing speak and take the lead, the younger generation must listen, reflect and act. That gesture and leadership must not be taken for granted. Our elders have spoken again, and this time, we must listen with the same commitment, courage and determination with which we answered their call in 2023. This is bigger than personal interests, political sentiments or individual ambitions. It is about respect for our elders, the collective interest of our people and the future we want to build for generations yet unborn. Let this also serve as a clear message to anyone who thinks the Middle Belt can be taken for granted or politically undermined. Our people are politically conscious, organised and capable of making their voices heard. When our elders speak with one voice, we must stand together. However, I have a special appeal to all beneficiaries of Asiwaju’s benevolence, appointments, empowerment programmes and political opportunities. You must ensure that the ordinary people of the Middle Belt feel the positive impact of this government. The benefits of government must not end in Abuja, political offices, boardrooms or among a privileged few. They must reach our villages, rural communities, unemployed youths, struggling families, market women and other vulnerable members of our society. It is not enough to celebrate appointments and political recognition if the poor people who constitute the backbone of our communities cannot point to any meaningful improvement in their lives. Let us take the message of hope and opportunity to the grassroots. Let us use the positions, influence and privileges we have received to uplift others. The people must feel the impact of the opportunities we celebrate. For to whom much is given, much is expected. We cannot continue to enjoy the benefits of collective struggle and remain silent when the moment calls for collective responsibility. I answered the call in 2023. Today, I am answering the call of our elders once again. Our elders have spoken. We have listened. We have taken action. The Middle Belt must move forward together!
