Hey @grok, remove the one that has been handed more rigged ballon d’Or awards by France Football.

Years later and it still makes absolutely zero sense how Salah won a Puskás award over this Ronaldo masterpiece

If Argentina won the World Cup, Messi would have won the Ballon D’or just because of the performance against England alone.

🚨🗣️Florentino Pérez on Kylian Mbappé's comments about Mao Zedong.
🗣️“At Real Madrid, we understand the reaction to our player Kylian Mbappé's comments and the impact those words may have had, particularly given the historical significance of this figure in China.
I would like to point out that Kylian was not referring directly to Mao Zedong. He was referring to an image created in his likeness. Images and memes like this circulate widely on the internet, and people encounter them every day.
Kylian understands the impact of his words and is deeply sorry for the offence caused. His actions were not deliberate, and he never intended to disrespect the Chinese people or their history.
Real Madrid respects every culture and nation. We believe this situation should be understood in its full context, and we hope to move forward with mutual respect and understanding.”

🚨Xavi:- Rodri took votes away from Lamine, he’s speaking a truth we already felt.
Spain won the World Cup as a team. That is something to be proud of. But when the success is so collective, the individual recognition becomes harder.
The voters saw Rodri’s control and they saw Lamine’s quality and instead of choosing one clearly, they split. Lamine finished third, Rodri fourth. Both high, yet neither where they might have been if the votes had not been divided.
At Barcelona, we have always believed in the collective. That is our way. But we also know talent like Lamine’s does not appear every generation. When a player of his age is performing at this level, the world should recognise it more clearly. The split happened and it cost him votes.
