A man is searching for Emmanuel Donkoh, alias Sheefo, who allegedly disappeared after squandering GHS37,500 out of GHS38,000 entrusted to him as capital for a mobile money business at a boutique in Mozano in the Gomoa West District.
According to the man, Emmanuel lived with him throughout his Senior High School education and completed school in 2019. He said he developed a high level of trust in Emmanuel because of his loyalty during his stay with him, prompting him to entrust him with GHS40,000 to operate a mobile money business inside his boutique.
The man explained that after taking GHS2,000 from Emmanuel for personal use, the remaining capital stood at GHS38,000. However, when he instructed Emmanuel yesterday to send GHS20,000 for a particular purpose, Emmanuel kept delaying before eventually disappearing.
He later received messages from Emmanuel, who admitted to squandering GHS37,500 and claimed he had no money left. Emmanuel indicated that he was nearby and wanted to bring in a mediator to negotiate a repayment arrangement, but he has since become unreachable.
The man suspects Emmanuel may have fled to the Nzema areas or Takoradi and is appealing to the public to provide any information that could help locate him.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts is urged to contact 0593122988.
Last known location: Mozano/Eshiem, Gomoa West District.

If the @FBI can extradite Ghanaians over romance scams which is good, how about we also extradite those guilty for killing a Ghanaian life to Ghana. Nsawam is the best place for the killers not some nice prison in America. @FBIDirectorKash

Highly influential International figures are condemning the brutal killing of an innocent teenage boy whose only crime as at yet, was moving to stay with his dad.
But in that lad’s own country, supposedly enlightened folks have gone to the extent of suggesting the boy’s relocation was the cause of his untimely death.
And that he’d been better off staying in his country. As if people here don’t die under more undignified circumstances every day.
As if they know and had better plans for the boy than the man who birthed him.
Insensitive bunch

We're happy to see Shopify finally embracing uncompromised native apps.
Stop stubbornly building with React Native. Your users deserve better. Only native and DartNative deliver the real thing. 🚀
We’ve rebuilt the @Shopify mobile app from the ground up in native for iOS and Android 📱
The new experience brings a fresh design, smoother interactions, and Liquid Glass on iOS. It also launches faster on both platforms, with Android launch time cut by more than half.

Rust vs Go: both have real advantages, and the trade-off is sharper than it looks.
Go is the simple one. It's easy to learn, doesn't carry many language features, and compiles fast. Rust is on the complex side: the spec keeps growing, and compiling is slow. Day to day, Go is simpler in most cases. You don't fight a complex type system, and any function can run as a goroutine.
Concurrency is where the two really split. There are two families. Go is one: lightweight threads, start any function in a goroutine, done. The other family is sync vs async, and Rust, Python and JavaScript all live there. That's where complexity creeps in. Functions have colors. Rust and Python give you two worlds, and you must never call a blocking function from an async one. JavaScript is simpler because it's a single world. Sync vs async forces you to clearly define what blocks and what doesn't, and that's real extra complexity. The upside is performance: async generally beats goroutines.
Rust's best part is the type system. You can model a lot in it, and the more business logic you push into types, the more bugs the compiler catches before anything runs. Go's type system is not that comprehensive. One example: Go can't catch a race condition at compile time. Rust can. But the cost of that type system is compile time. Bugs caught early and slow builds are the same coin.
For AI coding, Rust becomes a double-edged sword. Code moves fast, so slow compile hurts more. But if the model expresses business logic through the type system, far more bugs get caught at compile time. Slower, but higher quality.
That's why we chose Rust for data infra. There, robustness and reliability outweigh the speed of writing code.
Replying to @ThePrimeagen
🫡 was gonna be Rust but it really is not there yet iteration speed wise. Go is excellent for this purpose in our evals
