America creates abundance. Not equal distribution, not even equal opportunity, but there is abundance if you have the courage to earn it.

The irony of all the attacks on @elonmusk over DOGE is that cutting government spending and regulation is the solution to the cost-of-living crisis
Prices went up so much because the government spent trillions in 2020 and 2021 and the Fed printed the money to pay for it
And the things getting more expensive the fastest are the most regulated: housing, healthcare, and education
TVs, software, cellphones, and toys got cheaper
Elon Musk and DOGE would have made life more affordable for Americans if they were allowed to cut spending and get rid of unnecessary regulations
Put this into perspective. The top 1% have a combined $50T in wealth. Fed Reserve estimates $38.5T is liquid or in equities. So even if you took 100% of the wealth from the people who actually create the jobs for people that fund society, you still couldnât cover our national debt of $40T.
Vote for smaller government.

đ¨ Ron DeSantis is GOING OFF on Republicans for SQUANDERING our TWO YEAR TRIFECTA -- ESPECIALLY on deportations
"Why haven't we STRIPPED JURISDICTION from the federal courts over deportation cases?!"
"Why haven't we done IMMIGRATION?! Shut off H1B visas! Why haven't we CODIFIED Trump's immigration executive orders? There's SO MANY THINGS that could have been done. They didn't even ATTEMPT it, Laura."
"A lot of our voters who STAYED HOME. They stayed home because they were FRUSTRATED with the lack of productivity from Republicans in the House and Senate."
Senate Republicans had everything they needed to LOCK IN conservative immigration policy for a GENERATION. They didn't even TRY.

Nov 4, 1979: Iranian students stormed the US Embassy in Tehran and took 66 Americans hostage. Fifty-two of them wouldn't come home for 444 days, and the crisis brought down a president.
The anger behind it went back decades. In 1953, after Iran's elected prime minister took over the country's British-controlled oil industry, the CIA and British intelligence helped overthrow him and put the Shah back in full control. For the next 25 years the Shah ruled as a close American ally, buying billions in US weapons while his secret police jailed and tortured his opponents.
In 1978 Iran rose up against him. In January 1979 the Shah fled the country, and the exiled cleric Ayatollah Khomeini came home to a hero's welcome. That October, when the US let the Shah into New York for cancer treatment, many Iranians were convinced Washington was planning another coup to put him back on the throne.
On the morning of Nov 4, a few hundred students who called themselves followers of the Imam's line gathered outside the embassy in the rain. Some of the women had bolt cutters hidden under their robes. They cut the chain on the gate and poured in. The Marine guards were told not to open fire, to avoid a massacre. Inside, embassy staff rushed to shred and burn classified documents. Over the following months, the students painstakingly pieced the shredded strips back together and published them.
The Americans were blindfolded, tied up, and paraded in front of cameras and screaming crowds. The top American diplomat, Bruce Laingen, happened to be at Iran's foreign ministry with two colleagues that morning. They were held there for the entire crisis.
Khomeini praised the students and called the embassy a den of spies. Two weeks later he ordered the release of 13 hostages, women and Black Americans. Another man was released the next summer after falling seriously ill. The remaining 52 stayed.
Six Americans had slipped out of a side building during the takeover. Canadian diplomats hid them in their homes for nearly three months. In January 1980, a CIA officer named Tony Mendez flew into Tehran and got them out by pretending they were a Canadian film crew scouting locations for a sci-fi movie.
For the hostages, the days blurred together. They were moved from place to place, kept in solitary confinement, and sometimes faced mock executions, lined up in the middle of the night as if they were about to be shot.
At home, the crisis took over American life. Bruce Laingen's wife, Penne, tied a yellow ribbon around an oak tree in her front yard, and soon yellow ribbons were everywhere. Walter Cronkite ended his newscasts by counting the days. ABC launched a late-night show about the crisis that became Nightline. Jimmy Carter froze billions in Iranian assets, cut off oil imports, and broke off relations. He mostly stopped campaigning for reelection and stayed in the White House.
In April 1980, after months of failed negotiations, Carter approved a rescue mission called Operation Eagle Claw. Delta Force would fly secretly into Iran, meet helicopters at a desert landing site code-named Desert One, then hit Tehran. Dust storms and mechanical failures knocked out three of the eight helicopters. The mission was called off. As the force was pulling out, a helicopter crashed into a refueling plane. Eight American servicemen were killed. Iran put their burned remains on display. The disaster led the military to create a new command for special operations.
That summer the Shah died in Egypt. In September Iraq invaded Iran, and Iran suddenly needed the money the US had frozen. Talks began through Algeria.
On Nov 4, 1980, exactly one year after the embassy was seized, Carter lost the election to Ronald Reagan in a landslide.
Carter spent his last days in office working almost without sleep to finish the deal. It was signed on Jan 19, 1981. The next day, the hostages were loaded onto planes at the Tehran airport, but Iran held them on the runway until Carter was no longer president. They took off minutes after Reagan was sworn in. Reagan announced it at his inaugural lunch.
The next day, Carter flew to West Germany, as Reagan's envoy, to welcome them. New York threw them a ticker-tape parade.
They had been held for 444 days. More than three decades later, Congress finally approved compensation for them and their families. Iran and the United States still have no diplomatic relations today.
Oof.
Every GOP strategist, consultant, and candidate should be forced to participate in a role-playing exercise this morning.
Your name is Bob. Youâre a 49-year-old blue-collar worker in Ohio. Youâve always struggled to make ends meet. The good jobs were all shipped to China and the few remaining pay a pittance wage, undercut by endless illegal labor.
Youâre a 3x Trump voter because you believed he would finally make America great again.
You put your son through Ohio State. He graduated cum laude in computer science. You couldnât have been prouder. After months searching, he landed an entry-level job at Microsoft. Beneath his qualifications, but a good start for a smart kid.
Then he got laid off. That same month, Microsoft applied for 150,000 more H-1B visas because it canât find qualified Americans.
Your son has spent six months back in his childhood bedroom, sending hundreds of applications without landing an interview.
On TV, Trump boasts about the greatest economy in history and how many women and minorities are finding jobs.
You decide a father-son steak night might cheer him up.
Gas is $4.50 a gallon. Filling your truck costs over $100. At Kroger, ribeyes are $30/lb. You settle for hamburger, even though 70/30 ground beef still costs $10+.
At checkout, a fat black woman is screaming at the cashier because her EBT will only cover most of the filet mignon and lobster in her cart.
You think to yourself how the Iran war has made everything expensive, but at least weâre stopping their nuclear bomb. You werenât even sure where Iran was before you googled it after we first bombed them in March.
After dinner, you take your son to the county fair. Half the people arenât speaking English. Virtually none of the crowd looks like you. Youâre forced to leave early after a âteen takeoverâ turns violent. A foreign born judge pledges none of them will go to jail.
Back home, you turn on the TV. Vivek Ramaswamy is lecturing the crowd about American mediocrity and why Ohio needs more foreign talent.
Your son grows upset. You change the channel.
Now a Republican surrogate, the daughter of a governor or wife of an elderly billionaire, explains that young White men are the REAL welfare queens. Theyâd rather play videogames in their parentsâ basements than work.
Your son says nothing. He just goes back to his childhood bedroom. You turn off the TV.
Then your neighbor starts blasting reggaeton and cracking open Modelos. He brought his cousinâs family from Mexico to help with all the minority-business contracts his construction firm keeps winning. Tonight theyâre celebrating his nephewâs birth, the familyâs first birthright American citizen.
You sit alone in your living room.
You worked hard, paid taxes, obeyed the law, and raised your son to do everything right. You voted Republican again and again because you believed somebody in Washington would finally fight for you.
Instead, your wages are stagnant. Groceries are unaffordable. Your community is unrecognizable. Your country is fighting another foreign war.
And upstairs, the son you sacrificed everything for is lying awake in the bedroom he slept in at twelve, wondering what the heck heâs even supposed to do with his life now.
Every time you turn on the TV, the Republicans you elected are either congratulating themselves or explaining why you and your son are the problem.
For ten years, they told you Americaâs future depended on your vote. Now you arenât even sure America has a future worth defending.
The Republican Party needs to answer one simple question this morning:
Youâve spent a decade demanding Bobâs loyalty. Youâve given him stagnant wages, unaffordable groceries, another foreign war, and a son who did everything right but canât find work.
And when they complain, you call them lazy, entitled, and racist.
What possible reason have you given Bob and his son to vote Republican? Do you honestly think you deserve their vote?
The blue tsunami unfortunately bled over to the governors race. At the end of Big Gretchâs tenure, Michigan ranks lower in jobs, education, economy and we have one of the highest gas taxes. John James is a 3 time loser, but Benson didnât campaign on anything and won easily.
