Fun way to make your share links feel like peering through a portal. Hopefully more platforms start supporting it.

One second-order effect of AI exploits becoming commonplace might be that a lot of the old internet gets retired instead of modernized.
Effective Immediately, all organizations using PHP for their systems are advised to be prepared for an update addressing two critical vulnerabilities. PHP is widely used for web applications. These vulnerabilities often provide a direct path to the server's file system or database. If an immediate update is not feasible, it is recommend that organizations take the system offline until it can be fully mitigated. NSA will follow up shortly with more specific guidance.

We were sold the vision of consumer 3D printers in every home almost 20 years ago. It took a while but the printers finally look like something you’d want to display on your shelf and AI gives everyone the ability to design. I wonder if they’ll run the classic consumer business model of cheap machines with high margin resins and parts.
Introducing Form Studio 1 - a professional resin 3D printer, starting at $699. Discover Form Studio 1 bit.ly/4hLDQQb Form Studio 1 is fast, safe, detailed, reliable, and open. ⚡️ Fast - Print most parts in under 2 hours 👩‍🔬 Safe - The world’s safest resin 3D printing ecosystem & the only resin printing ecosystem to be UL GREENGUARD Gold Certified 🔎 Detailed - Smooth surfaces, sharp details, accurate assemblies 💪 Reliable - Alpha Resins have a print success rate of 99% 👐 Open - Print with any materials, Formlabs or third-party resins We took 15 years of engineering and packed it into the world's most affordable professional resin 3D printer. The music industry is a useful analogy for how the software industry might look with a low barrier to entry and far more supply than demand. > Power-law distribution of $$ > The most successful musicians are extremely skilled at generating attention (brand, attractiveness, stage presence, novel characteristics) > Distribution is arguably more important than the artist’s technical skill > Extreme creativity. Despite the simplicity of instruments, artists continue to remix and be rewarded for unique music > Trends rapidly appear from independent artists or underground scenes > New business models. Nobody buys music anymore but musicians are still able to get rich. It's just harder work (brand deals, celebrity investing, merch, concerts) > Bar for being the best is continually raised and requires huge amounts of capital (e.g. A-list celebrity concerts)
I'd expand the moats left to: - Proprietary data or content: data nobody else has, or unique content you can create - Network effects / community: users make it more valuable for each other - Audience / distribution: you can get attention on demand - Physical component: hardware, locations, real-world operations - Capital: owning assets and investing (esp into the AI companies as they are and will suck up large parts of the economy) - Regulatory: licenses and legal barriers

Easy to forget that despite the bubble popping the CryptoPunks floor price is still high 5 figures with the rarest going for millions. So it’s not far-fetched that we might get a resurgence as agents make NFTs attractive again. > Cross-platform agents increase demand for portable identity and reputation > People start treating agents as extensions of themselves It might even go beyond collecting and speculating. Agent guilds? Social credit scores for bots? Tiered agent access?

I have a hunch that the pfp NFT craze might come back in 2027 as agents become more public facing and signal status etc.

Sometimes it's nice to handle tedious tasks with a mini app instead of prompting. I'm constantly optimizing images for web so I had Grok Bot make an applet that I can drop in the dock. Super easy.

Feels like an eternity ago, but I remember watching Jensen Huang at CES earlier this year talk about how we'll be able to generate complex UIs on the fly. A complete inversion of how product design has traditionally been done. We're all becoming game designers
