Exactly. I wonder if these SNP lot know the damage they are doing to Scotlands reputation?

Just got to say I am sooo impressed by the way the British people have sorted out the vaccine roll out. From France where they are still messing about it looks remarkable. As usual when the chips are down the British rise to the occasion. Well done everyone, keep safe. xxxx

The irresponsible tweets from people who claim that hospitals are not over stretched is damaging and frankly quite appalling. In some rural areas hospitals will not have the pressure than city hospitals do. But if cases keep rising they may well have to take the overflow.

My friends father was rushed into a city hospital here in Haute Vienne. They were rushed off their feet with covid patients. He waited in A&E for 26 hours with no food or drinks offered. The nursing staff were brusque and in some cases quite unpleasant.
Over the years the UK representatives in the EU have been a bunch of yes men. The EU say jump and they say how high. We have allowed business and agriculture to be dictated to by the EU. Buying much from them that should be produced at home. Now is the chance to sort that out.

The 21-year-old Tunisian suspect only arrived in France earlier this month after coming to Europe clandestinely on a migrant boat via the Italian island of Lampedusa on September 20, according to Ricard. This man murdered 3 innocent people. And we should let them in to the UK?

Just seen a member of the Scottish parliament moaning about the furlough scheme. If they are wanting independence perhaps they should try existing without constant financial backup from the UK. Pay for their own furlough scheme for instance. Out of the 30 odd billion from the UK.

Seems as if the confusion reigning in the UK over the solution to the rise in covid cases, is pretty well universal.

Another country who doesn't want their health service overwhelmed or to see bodies piling up in hospital mortuaries.

Another country struggling with the rise in Covid 19. So all you on here who are adamant that covid is no worse than flu, and we all ought to be going about our business regardless, what would you say to the countries taking action? They are all wrong? Let the vulnerable die?

I watched President Macron on TV last night. It was noticeable how polite the interviewer was. Unlike the hostile arrogant interviewers seen on UK TV. They allowed him to speak, make his point, then questioned him. No rude hectoring interruptions. What is happening in the UK?
When Boris tweets, out come the crazies. The whole word is suffering from the effects of covid. Everywhere has restrictions in the hope of preventing their health services being overwhelmed. The combination of flu covid and normal hospital admissions is a worry not to be ignored
If, as you quite ridiculously claim, the hospitals are empty there is no reason for cancer patients not to get the treatment. Flu and other Sars viruses can mutate, so each year there is a different strain. Total immunity is unlikely. Unless there is a viable vaccine.
An interesting factor on here. The rather radical leftist lot who complain vigorously about all in sundry are REALLY quick to block anyone who disagrees with them. Almost as if they have no answer to rational argument. lol
It seems to me that there are two choices. Everyone goes about their business. No masks, no social distancing etc. If the NHS is swamped and people die, thats tough? Or as the government is trying to do, the vulnerable can be protected by restrictions. Which would you chose?
