I’m at a total loss for words. “The case was investigated by Lancashire Police but criminal charges did not follow”……why? ……could someone more qualified explain this to me. A doctor rapes a patient. The victim reports it. THE DOCTOR ADMITS IT. He tells a hospital committee that it was a "one off" and he will not do it again. THE MANAGEMENT SAYS THAT IS OK. And allow him to carry on working. THE POLICE TAKE NO ACTION. The hospital concerned is the BLACKPOOL VICTORIA HOSPITAL. Looking at the response to the Dr strike news this morning, honestly I wonder why anyone bothers being a HCP in the UK any more. A portion of the public seem to hate HCPs, particularly doctors and nurses, and seem to think “vocation” should be enough to live on 🤷‍♀️
