⚫️🔴 Wrong Generation is going to New York City.
We are proud to announce that Wrong Generation is an Official Selection of the African Diaspora International Film Festival (NYADIFF 2026).
From Colombia to Vancouver and now New York, the film keeps travelling, carrying Namibia onto another world stage.
A story born from real streets, real grief and real resistance, now reaching audiences across the diaspora.
Grateful to the NYADIFF team for believing in this film and giving it a place in New York. Thank you to our cast, crew and everyone who has supported us along the way.
More to come as we build toward the festival. ⚫️🔴

In October 2025, Malawi’s High Court delivered a landmark judgment in AC (a Minor) case, affirming that survivors of sexual violence have an automatic right to access abortion services under Malawi’s Gender Equality Act.
The judgment marked a significant step for reproductive rights in Malawi, opening up long-overdue conversations on access to safe abortion care and the rights of girls and women, particularly those who become pregnant from sexual violence.
One year on, the Center and partners in Malawi continue to advocate for the implementation of the decision and promulgates standards and guidelines for abortion care to translate the legal protections into reality.

The girls’ agenda cannot be sustained by rhetoric while the conditions that hold girls back remain intact. Commitments must translate into action that confronts inequality, challenges harmful social norms and protects girls’ rights, autonomy and freedom.
At #GirlsAgenda2026, @Zamara_fdn brought intersectional feminist perspectives into panel conversations and ensured adolescent girls had space to meaningfully engage on the issues shaping their lives and futures.🧵

The Ministry of Finance has announced that all social grants will be paid monthly from November 2026, ending the practice of double payments in November and January.
Beneficiaries who previously received two months’ payments in November will now receive their November payment in November and their December payment in December.
Similarly, recipients of children’s grants who previously received double payments in January will receive one payment each month.
The change applies to old-age pensions, disability grants for children and adults, vulnerable grants, foster care grants and maintenance grants.
The ministry, in collaboration with the Ministry of Gender Equality and Child Welfare, says it is working to ensure that payments continue without disruption.

36 YEARS LATER. NEW HOPE FOR THE SOUTH 🎉
Before, Hendrina Seibes had to travel all the way from Ariamsvlei, about 800 km from Windhoek, to do a ct scan in Windhoek!
Hendrina’s sigh of relief is echoed by the community members of the Karas region.

Male humor is implying that penetrative sex is degrading and whoever is at the receiving end is being “defeated”. This is how rape culture is casually enforced through sports and then we wonder why male athletes get so much support from fans when they end up abusing women

English teachers recognizing your potential is the kind of validation that stays with you forever. 🥹
CONGRATULATIONS & Well Done Ndiilo 🥳💃🏽.
I lost the LRC election in Grade 11 at Windhoek High School. My English teacher, the late Mrs. Motoomull, told me: “I fought for you in that room. But don’t worry. One day you will become the greatest leader. Leadership doesn’t end in this school.”
I never believed her. Until this year.
Mandela Rhodes Scholar. @forbesafrica Under 30. A SADC Award. A film travelling the world. A Mentor medal from @WitsUniversity Entrepreneurship Hub (EHub). And Class Rep for my Master’s at @witsbschool.
This is the story of the controversial, Hip-Hop dancing class clown from Grade 12 A who was told she behaved like a boy and praised for her grades like a girl, and what ‘Building Exceptional Leadership in Africa’ has actually come to mean for me.
