NYC is going the way of Chicago — second tier in every meaningful sense. Boston is better as a global city/financial center, Worcester has a stronger creative scene, and Malden is 10x better for missionary technologists. When not in EU, I’ll be spending more time in Lowell.

But let’s not simply assume personal websites will transport us back to 2002 or 2006. They won’t. And let’s not assume Mastodon federated servers will be just like Twitter was in 2009 or 2014 or 2021. They won’t. This is a time for intentionality. To envision what you want.
